DIRECTOR Michael Moore, whose anti-Iraq war film Fahrenheit 9/11 touched off a firestorm of controversy, topped an annual list today of Hollywood's least-intriguing celebrities.

The outspoken documentary-maker ranks No.1 on this year's Frigid 50 published by online movie magazine FilmThreat.com.

The website, known for an anti-establishment take on the entertainment industry, said its list named the stars it found to be the "least-inspiring, least-intriguing people in Hollywood".

Ranked No.2 was actress Halle Berry, who followed up her Oscar-winning turn in Monster's Ball with less critically lauded roles in such films as Gothica and Catwoman.

"The Frigid 50 ice pack have left audiences cold with their overbearing personalities, poor career choices and chronic inability to stop making fools of themselves," the site said.

Moore qualified because of what the editors saw as an oversized ego. "Message to Michael: Remember, it's not always about you. Lose the chip on your shoulder," the editors said.

Fahrenheit 9/11, hailed by Democrats for its scathing critique of US President George W. Bush and the US-led war in Iraq, but condemned by Republicans as a distorted piece of propaganda, grossed nearly $US120 million ($153.5 million) at the US box office, a record for a political documentary.

Moore has said he plans to make a sequel before the next US election.

Walt Disney chief executive Michael Eisner was ranked No.3 on the list, which cited this year's revolt by dissident shareholders, a hostile takeover bid by Comcast, public spats with Pixar and Miramax and a string of such flops as Home on the Range, The Alamo and Hidalgo.

He was followed at No.4 by director M Night Shyamalan whose latest thriller, The Village and its "surprise ending" were widely seen as falling far short of the pre-release hype.

Comic actors and frequent co-stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson were jointly listed at No.5 for their appearances in a recent string of "mass-produced mediocrity".

"least-inspiring, least-intriguing people in Hollywood".

That would be most of Hollywood. Think about it, can you name more than 10 who are inspiring and intriguing?

Excellent news. Another GOP victory is now assured.

Boy, I don't know. That prison scene in Starsky & Hutch was pretty funny. "Okay, now I want to see TWO dragons..." I about died.

LOL! Yeah, we'll see if anyone but his core audience bothers to watch his sequel. All the artificial hype in the world isn't going anyone excited about that fat turd or his "documentaries" again... I used to read Film Threat in high school, maybe I ought to check it out again.

I'm at a distinct disadvantage here.

Because of Hollywood's attitude to just about everything, I haven't seen a new release movie for a looong time.

Ever since "There's something about mary", been stiller has been making really bad movies. Just look at 'Envy', with the annoying jack black - a movie so bad it was held from release for about a year, Then getting a quiet release and surviving in theaters for a scant 3 weeks and earning $12 million - out of its $40 million budget.

That would be most of Hollywood.

There's 99% of Hollywood that gives the other 1% a bad name.

I just read something online that the hold time was about 2 years from date of completion - only the fact that jack black's "school of rock" movie did well convinced them to put it in theaters.

I can remember seeing a preview for it in theaters a couple of years ago and then wonder when in it would ever be released. Then I started reading the rumors that it was so bad it may never be released. After it did 'escape' most of those rumors were confirmed.

Too bad because I like a few of the people in the movie like chris walken, amy poehler and rachel weisz.

Berry hasn't damaged the polis as much as the blob has. But if you had an "evilometer" to hook up to both of them, she might be as essentially nasty. I'd say she is equally worthless as an entertainer - nasty attitude, nasty piece of work...

31. LAUREN BACALL
The 80-year-old diva had bile to spare when she openly dissed co-star Nicole Kidman in a joint interview for British TV last September, during her promotion of the film Birth. When an interviewer described Kidman as a “legend,” Bacall rudely interrupted with: “She’s not a legend! She’s a beginner. What is this ‘legend’? She can’t be a legend at whatever age she is. She can’t be a legend, you have to be older.” Reality check: if Bacall wasn’t Humphrey Bogart’s wife, she wouldn’t be a legend!

Bwahahaha

Well, I noticed he managed to get in a cheap shot at the President who isn't an actor. Kinda ruins the fun, you know. Besides, I really like Ashley Judd.
