In the past two weeks, Internet users have downloaded over 4.5 million copies of Firefox, the excellent browser available for free from the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation. Yes, there are hundreds of millions of IE users, but Firefox is gaining fast, and IE is losing market share for the first time in years. The switch to Firefox will happen even faster as more people realize the full power of this browser, much of it provided by computer hobbyists who are scrambling to create a cornucopia of useful add-ons.

BTTT
You will be assimilated! :-)~
Did the same, I finally bit the bullet because I was getting tired of spyware and adware, and Firefox seems to be much more resistant to both. I just wish it was a bit more intuitive to navigate around.
I like it but it is very picky about codes.
I've been using Firefox for about 5 months now. It's faster than IE. Don't even ask about browsing on AOL which freezes my entire machine at least once a day if I browse on it. A worthless account.
Oooh, do they have a Bugmenot extension for Firefox 1.0? I'm SO all over that.
It's less vulnerable than IE (for now), takes fewer system resources so it runs faster, and displays virtually every webpage I've found yet just fine. And tabbed browsing is *wonderful*. Right now, it's just a better mousetrap.
We'll see with Microsoft comes out with for IE 7; given their past track record, it will have some nice features and do a lot of what Firefox does, but it'll take 3x the resources to do it!

I've been using Mozilla for YEARS. They do an amazing job.
Firefox Ping
All your browsers are belong to Firefox.
Longtime IE user here.
But, this browser rocks.
It kills IE, so I have switched for good except for the times when Firefox has some probs with a video file or PDF doc or something.
FireFox has some nice features, allot of extensions, tabbed interface (excellent for viewing a site such as FR).
FireFox doesn't work with some specialized page coding, however. Some Java scripted things mess up in it. I haven't tried some of the online videos, etc., but some audio won't run on a webpage; rather they require either MSPlayer or RealPlayer standalone to work.
I do like the extension, FoxyVoice. It 'reads' highlighted text on a webpage. Good for vision impaired and for long web articles on FR; although the computer voice takes some getting used to.
All in all, it is a very ok browser. It doesn't load quite as fast as I'd like.
I started using Firefox this week. I feel like an idiot for having waited so long to try it. It was simple to download and it is as easy to use as Xploder, without the stability issues Xploder was giving me.
Mozilla Jihad?
I think Firefox has built in zooming of any image on the net (or maybe I got that from an extension).
Whatever the case, I love it.
Some things on the net are tiny (like weather maps etc.) that I want to zoom in on. Firefox is great for that.
My bugmenot says it is still incompatible. I am sure they will come out with a new one.
