Rochester (AP) Police say a woman went to a Beaver County police station and admitted fatally shooting her husband after he threatened to kill their pets.

Elsie Kost was charged yesterday with homicide in the death of her husband Edward. Police say Edward Kost was killed November 16th but authorities didn't find out about the shooting until Elsie Kost confessed to shooting him and putting his body in cistern on their property.

Elsie Kost had told others her husband was away at a hunting camp. But New Sewickley police say she told her daughter about the shooting yesterday and they decided to go to police.

Kost told authorities she had an argument with her husband and that he pushed and shoved her. Police say Edward Kost had threatened to shoot some of the family pets.

Authorities recovered Edward Kost's body yesterday.

An autopsy was planned for sometime today

Nasty people who are mean to animals are SICK inside, IMO.

I agree. I have no use for such lowlifes.

I would say those who condone killing a man for pushing you (if thats even true) or threatening your dog has no regard for life.

See posts # 102, and 108.

You have not understood my feelings about the woman's behavior. No surprise.

The point I was trying to make was......... try not to make threats in front of people who are (perhaps) mentally unstable. Understand?

Her shooting him was most likely not deserved. She will also most likely go to jail where she belongs. But he's dead! The episode didn't do either of them any good did it?

That is the point of my posting the thread. I say ....... just think before you threaten things that someone loves (sort of like the liberals threatening every great thing that The Founders created). It may end up being a reason for severe regret (for the dead man in the cistern and the liberals who can't win an election)!

You want to speculate on "trolls" some more now?

Well, well (cistern)........... can't blame her myself.

Question. If a woman can kill a man who threatens her pets and you see nothing wrong with it, would you approve of a man killing a woman who had aborted his child over his objections?

Or am I just mistaken in guessing that you think a woman's love of her pets justifies action that you would not consider justified by a man's love of his unborn child?

THINK, people, THINK ... this is a dead human being we're talking about here. Threatening to kill an animal is not murder, even killing an animal is not murder. Killing a person, even if he's a jerk, is.

Sound to me like she told her daughter and her daughter probably knew she would have to go to the cops so she convinced her mom to do the same.

Besides that, a hunter? No regard for life in general.

I don't hunt, but hunting plays a vital role in controlling animal populations. And do you eat meat? If you do, someone had to do the killing for you.

Animals kill to protect their babies.
A dog will give you unconditional love and loyalty, will not betray you, will stick with you even if you beat him or starve him of treat him like sh... a human being will drop you like a hot potato in similar circumntances.

Ummm, Animals kill and EAT their young if they are starving. Animals will abandon or kill their weak offspring to preserve the rest. Animals will preserve themselves before their offspring so they can live to breed another day and give their species a greater chance of survival.
As for a dog betraying you, how many many people die or are injured from dog attacks every year? Get some counseling, you seriously need help.

IF he just made a casual threat for the first time, I don't think she would of killed him. I will therefore, withhold my true feelings until I know the whole story.

Well said. If it was a casual threat, he certainly doesn't deserve to be a goner.

Can we all agree, though, that threatening things that people love is not real wise. That is the only reason I posted this article! Just a reminder to keep things civil.

I don't need to speculate. You have made some disgusting remarks so far. You are not saying "think" before you speak, you are saying be fearful of speaking because someone might blow your brains out and someone like you will make sure they go free, if you relate to them.

Animals will do whatever they need to do to protect themselves first and their species second, well stated, Free2.
Most times, dogs like pitbulls (the breed most commonly associated with vicious attacks on innocent people) are an unfortunate "creation" of people who developed the breed for fighting. Those animals follow their instincts (however "evil" they may seem to us) ... but the people who developed and own them follow something else.
Counseling...mmmm maybe!

Unless the pets were about a half dozen 700 pound hogs, then they should have just run over the nasty-*ss husband.

Brick Top: You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together.

Sol: Would someone mind telling me, who are you?

Brick Top: And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig."

Do I understand that most of the posters on this thread think it is ok to murder a man who threatened non-humans but would require more restraint regarding a man that threatened another human? If so why?

Speaking for myself only . . . if you threaten (say) me or Xena's Guy, we can take steps to defend ourselves. If you threaten the Dread Boston Salty, he will stare at you like you're reading Rousseau aloud.

That's why you are welcome to attempt to screw with me at any time, but mess with my babies at your peril.

People who hurt animals are dangerous to society; all serial killers have begun their "careers" torturing and/or kiling animals. The world's a better place without this guy. (Don't even think about hurting my kitties!)

If you feel like killing someone because you are a jezebel woman

"jezebel woman" -- LOL

Hey normy, I live a few miles from where this woman lives. I know that area well. I think once we see a picture of her (a cross between Helen Thomas and Janet Reno sounds reasonable), I don't think that either of us is going to suppose that she had any loving suitors on the side. She will most likely be a wide, less-than-intelligent woman, just a guess!

;-)

Be well............
