Just announced: The USSS demanded that Metal detectors be used for ALL entering dinner tonight, and the Chile President *Didn't want to subject his guests to that* so they scaled back the meeting to those already "swept"
I'm sure others wiil add details
That was in Bolivia! Same difference I suppose.
Someone please correct me if need be, but this morning between 0655-0830 hours, I saw NOTHING about this having happened on any of the cable news channels. I was in fact up early getting ready for church and kept flipping from channel to channel looking for more details about this having happened yesterday, but heard/saw nothing. However, I saw the b-ball brawl enough to make me sick. Yet NOTHING on this incident. What's up with that? Then I mentioned it to a couple of friends at church who both said they saw nothing about this; except one said he read a small piece about it 4-5 pages inside this morning's paper. Am I just imagining that MSM is covering this up for some reason?
At a dinner with Bush 41 at the West Point dining hall several years ago, all guests and cadets had to pass through metal detectors placed at the entrances. Supposedly, we lived in a safer world then too!
Where the h*ll did you get that one from?! LOL!
Chile is not filled with assholes.
Why do you say that?
I'd wager it's one of the more livable South American nations....if not The Most. I spent a fair amount of time there on business....beautiful and varied place.
I have a Chilena friend here....she's incredible actually.
Chileans are but one facet of hispanos. Mexican amerindians are another. Dominican pretos are another and so forth.
Everyone thinks they all wear sombreros and have Villa mustaches.
And not I do not want them all here....i get called bigot for that all the time by FR's destroy-the-gringo-majority-cheerleaders.
did they cancel the dinner? or just restrict it to those already swept?
Better not make it today....we're having a blizzard! (pics on the way via email)
are you joking?
aren't you in Palm Springs?
YIKES! be careful
Thank you for that beautiful prayer to which I add my fervent AMEN.
I have been very worried the whole time our beloved President has been in Chile. I am relieved that the scheduled dinner has been canceled since our USSS's requirements were not met.
May God shield him and Laura from the forces of evil that would do them any harm.
That's from the movie Age Of Darkness. It's a GREAT movie. :)
Joking about the blizzard part, but it's snowing (lightly) in the mountains right behind our house (see my profile page for an idea)...temp dropped to 37 early this morning, where it hadn't been below 50 so far this year.
When that happens, the cold air coming from a much higher mountain range further back brings a dusting now and again.
I have been to Chile before.I found it one of the worst countries I have ever been to. It is filled with arrogant and ignorant slobs.
LOL...don't get me started...I am 75% done with shopping already. No way in hell I am going out with the bargain herd.
,,, hombre Helen. Quando costa?
lol....MFH....no one will ever accuse you of being skeered to make broad sweeping declarations.....even though I disagree, I do admire your temerity.....too many PC hobbled around here.
regards
What makes it even more funny is in that scene the guy is thrust back into time, which is why he refers to the crowd of onlookers as "primitive screwheads", and he tells them where he got the gun. Of course they didn't know what he was talking about, and the gun wasn't made at that time. LOL
"That was in Bolivia! Same difference I suppose."
Yep! Bolivia borders Chile, which is to the south of Bolivia.

Maybe that is why he wanted them to come in with out being checked?
Emphasis on "trusts", after all they do his bidding.
sounds nice....we have had a wet mild autumn here in Nashville so far.
and car washes are one of my businesses.....ouch.
snow and salt are most excellent for car washes.....it's like printing yer own money those first clear days after a snow.
