[history]
President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.

Rumor has it that when he's at home, he will go to the local cafe for a meal, sit down, and actually talk with people... Not just rumor. It is truth.

President Bush offers a T-shirt to any of his Secret Service contingent that can beat him on his daily "jogs" as well. From what I've been told, the number of SS personnel that actually have one of those shirts can be counted on one hand.

That President Bush had to intervene on behalf of the Secret Service agent might say to someone higher up within the ranks of the Secret Service that the agent gave the appearance of not doing his job.<<<<<<<<<<,
This was the senior agent. He did nothing wrong. Bush didn't want it to get worse and He knew no one would shove him if he stepped into it.
THAT is a leader men will follow.

It is alarming--what the heck did the Chileans think they were doing, anyway? But "W" handled it just great.

If I was guarding the President... The cool part is that while they thought they were guarding him, he proved to the world that he is guarding them and the rest of our beloved country.
God, bless President George W. Bush.

"He knew no one would shove him if he stepped into it."I would not want to be the guy who shoved the POTUS with his SS contingent in the vicinity.

Folks, this is scary. Yes, it is. I hope the Secret Service is especially on its toes now. Trying to separate the President from his agents could be part of bigger scenario.

I saw it on FOX -- the President was pi$$ed off. He was headed into dinner and turned on his heel and basically through himself into the middle of the mess.
To: Diogenesis
Thank God for this President. What a MAN!
