You know what? This isn't worth anything to me. See if you can find Max's birthdate. See if you can find anything about Judy's brother, who just recently suffered a massive stroke last week. Hell, I sold her some Cutco knives last year. I won't give you anyone's address, nor will I divulge anything personal. Believe what you want to believe. It really doesn't matter either way.

I'm on central time. It was almost midnight here when I attempted to register.

Appears?

Well, there could have been other possibilities, like his chute failed to deploy correctly, or a possible suicide in the sport he loved...etc.

/Just sayin

Ok, on the tiny chance that you're real, you must know that we have a troll who likes to sign up, pretend to be the victim's family, and blast us for being judgmental. Either way, my prayers are with this victim's family.

Thank you for understanding. I frequent a couple forums (mainly automotive-related) and understand the troll factor myself. Usually they come in whenever someone posts a story about racing their car and winning. I try to practice staying away from trolling myself, as other members often post links to other threads and incite rampant troll-like behavior.

It could be possible that your troll is occasionally a family member, but given the nature of the internet and all that can be obtained through Google, you are all justified in your skepticism. Besides, can your troll spell?

I'd like to just relax now, and try not to get worked up about this. I'm headed home this weekend, and the drive from Mitchell to the Twin Cities is over 5 hours long. That doesn't count X-mas traffic.

Indeed, the troll can't spell, use capitalization, or use apostrophes. You haven't displayed the same kind of illiteracy this troll has, which is why I'm slowly being convinced that you're the real deal. Have a nice weekend and a safe trip. :)

I would say that the most logical explanation is that he expected the fog to act as some kind of reference to his altitude. Fog has a nasty habit of changing quickly and disorienting jumpers who pass though it. The biggest mistake was that neither Erich nor Lunder planned a timed delay, but instead were relying on Erich to reach for his pilot chute. That was Lunder's signal to pull. Any lower and we might have had two fatalities.

Lunder actually saw Erich hit the ground. He attempted CPR but realized that Erich's neck had broken after attempting to tilt back the head. I haven't asked much more of him since the memorial service.

What was the height of that bridge? The High Bridge over the Mississippi River has been done before, and it's only 159 feet.

Sorry, I don't buy your story.

It's just too wierd. I mean, googling your relative's name, looking up spots on the internet where he's mentioned, finding a discussion forum, signing up to post, and then arguing with people on the forum, who've been there for years, about what they're saying about your relative?

Too wierd for me. *Yawn*

I don't see how a person can climb up on something that high and not be paralyzed in fear!

Or maybe its just me? :)

Positively not just you.

Some of us, needless to say, wouldn't get to the climbing up part.

I hate to be so unsympathetic, but the Darwin Award factor finally caught up with this guy, too bad only after he reproduced!!

If he reproduced, he doesn't qualify for the award.

If at first you don't succeed, then base jumping isn't for you.

This moron does base jumping married and with a child???

And the wife said OK?!!!!!!!! (If my husband even CONtemplated this, the bags would be packed and on the front stoop. ;-)

It's just too dang bad this guy didn't do this before he procreated or we could have gotten him a nomination for the Darwin Awards. C'mon - jumping in foggy conditions? How dimwitted can you get?!!!

Nice going! NOT the brother, the brother IN LAW. ;-D

The last troll used "Blank's sister" as "her" handle.

You registered 3 days ago...did it take you this long to type up your short comment to us?

I would suggest that you keep your feet firmly planted on solid ground...you don't seem very quick...would be a shame for you to follow in your brother in law's footsteps!
