Rice is having a uterine fibroid embolization, a procedure to block arteries that supply blood to fibroid tumours, he said. It does not involve cancer or a life-threatening condition, McCormack said.

She said today it was personal or private. I guess not anymore.

Let's see if the lefties who have been sharpening their knives in preparation for Rice's appointment as Sec of State can resist making "humorous" references to her surgery.

Not to infer anything, but perhaps someone should keep an eye on DU and see if those losers are going to do the same thing that they do whenever someone on our side goes under the knife. Remember the last time?

Don't start a thread, but it might be good to keep is as a record of their utter insanity.

You are talking "PC" - and we have enough of that as it is.

I'm trying to turn PC back on the mainstream media. I want to train them to speak of Dr. Rice with respect, as she deserves. As Rush noted today, they're trying to reduce her by referring to her in the terms one refers to a young girl.

When we refer to Dr. Rice as Condi or the president as Dubya, it's done with great affection and no diminution of respect. When the MSM does it, it's a gesture of contempt. And when we call General Powell "Colon," it's an insult. You don't find the MSM calling him that, or calling him Colin either, because they respect him greatly.

I wonder why she doesn't go for a full hysterectomy? She's too old to have babies now, even if she wanted one.

Well... could be she just doesn't want a hysterectomy (some women look for reasons to have a hyst and others try to avoid one at all costs.)To each their own.

Or it could be that she doesn't see the need to take the risk of a major operation (with potentially complications and occasionally unpleasant side effects) when a minor procedure will likely solve the problem

Or it may be that she doesn't feel she wants to take weeks off to recuperate from major surgery right now.

I'm sure she's been presented with the options and made an informed decision.

A friend was diagnosed with these after she became pregnant the first time. Their second child was c-section because the fibroid was believed to be positioned (and so enlarged) to prevent a normal delivery.

I wholeheartedly agree. And in 2009, she may be sworn in as the first female US president.

It would be my pleasure and a distinct honor to vote for Dr. Rice.

>>Excellent point. It's VERY IMPORTANT that she be referred to as DR. RICE, least the over indoctrinated misunderstand.>>

PC is not here. She is Condi.

At 50 years old it would be safer for Condi to go ahead and clean out the plumbing so no future problems occur.

Save on ovary if she has not gone through menopause.

Good she is getting things taken care of now before work heats up in January.

She be ok. Gut feeling she is blessed by the Lord.

I was listening to a news show about her life and she said Maddie Albrights Dad was her proffesor that got her stoked on persuing the path she chose.

Oh Oh you know what would be soooo cool if she played a selection on the piano at the innaugeration.

I would love to here her play.

I wonder if she ever in a spare moment tickle the Ivories around the White House?

Her parents wanted to give her a head start in life as they were both educators and she started learning piano at an early age, also languages.

Not only did she attend school but was home schooled on to of it.

Her parents are to be commended, I bet they are sooo proud of her as she way out did any high expectations they intended to give her in parenting.

I look forward to her work for our Country in her new position.

Yeah but most women I know who have had it done, including myself end up two years later with heavy bleeding which can turn cancerous if over a five year period.

Hysterectomy and cease any future risks of cancer.

Don't know about spare moments, but she played a duet with the incomparable Yo Yo Ma last year at a White House presentation of some sort. It was just beautiful.

I'm praying for a successful procedure and quick recovery.

May God watch over her and the doctors and nurses who will care for her. May He bring her healing, in Jesus' name.

Dr. Rice, aka: our Condi, WILL weather whatever storms are in her path, just as she has in the past.

It's extremely unfortunate that she can't be allowed a modicum of privacy. Curses to everything (except those exceptionally rare Canadians who can still think for themselves :)) Canadian.
