The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

"We should have secured the Mexican border."

That could be the pitiful lament we hear from negligent U.S. officials if Al Qaeda pulls off an attack on the United States using weapons of mass destruction smuggled across our southern frontier.

Were that horrendous event to happen, leaders in the administration and Congress would be justly hit with the same question that was perhaps unjustly cast at them and their predecessors after the unprecedented Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Why didn't they connect the dots?

Thanks for those links, as well as the ones from yesterday. Combine all this info with that posted at #1596 and we have a recipe for disaster. I just hope and pray that our government has not been lulled into the same sense of security that the general public has regarding Russia. I think the average citizen thinks they ceased to be a threat with the end of the Cold War.

We have heard that there was a threat to water for a long time, makes one give thought to how many ways you can attack a water supply.

They watched for a plane that would dump into the water supply, but how neat, use a large ship and do it right in front of the whole world.

IIRC the Bible pretty clearly states that the AC (lol) will rise up from one of the European nations that will form the core of his world empire. I don't think that the USA is going to figure much at all in any way. That's why I fully expect that the series of attacks rapidly approaching on the horizon will pretty much take us off the world stage. Like it or not, it's comin' and soon.

THE on-going court martial of three naval chiefs over their alleged complicity in the missing vessel MT African Pride - has been described as a charade.

President, Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Mr. Adams Oshiomhole said the only way government could exonerate itself from the matter is to probe the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Samuel Afolayan and the entire Navy High Command.

Nigeria, Swiss banks fund crude oil theft


Reps probe three banks

Armed with correspondence between some Nigerian and Swiss banks, the Lower House, yesterday declared that financial institutions in both countries were funding illegal oil bunkering in Nigeria.

The Nigerian banks now under investigation by the House Committee on Navy, reportedly funded the illegal activities of MT African Pride to the tune of N1.8 billion. Each of the banks allegedly invested $5 million in the illegal deal.
