The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

"We should have secured the Mexican border."

That could be the pitiful lament we hear from negligent U.S. officials if Al Qaeda pulls off an attack on the United States using weapons of mass destruction smuggled across our southern frontier.

Were that horrendous event to happen, leaders in the administration and Congress would be justly hit with the same question that was perhaps unjustly cast at them and their predecessors after the unprecedented Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Why didn't they connect the dots?

What surprised me was when George and Father Bush were both sworn in on a Mason Bible.

ALL Presidents use that Bible. The Founding Fathers who were Masons were numerous enough to form their own Masonic Lodge among themselves. That would be a minimum of eight people.

I would be surprised if we had one secret of importance left, that the rest of the world does not have and have it up and working.

I wouldn't be too surprised if GW had something cooked up for such a contingency. A lot can happen in four years. See the Manhattan Project which culminated in the first of two mushroom clouds generated in anger.

I was thinking the same thing. Also, if I recall correctly in areas near refineries in NY, Chicago, the Great Lakes area, and maybe even the Virginia and Baltimore area there were military ordinance that were found during this past year. After 20+ threads of info. there are tidbits that I recall...it's just a matter of connecting the dots.

That missing NJ tanker, that was stolen in April, was never found. The FBI put out a news alert about that same tanker again in the beginning of Nov. There was also a stolen oil tanker in NH just about a month ago...and as far as I know, that tanker has not yet been found either. There may be a few others across the country as well.

Just checked: Gold up to $453 and I'll wager that's just the start of a major rise....

The chemical/bio threat is worrisome.

Not for the rest of the winter season. Not until around....oooooh MARCH will it become a significant threat. Cold, wet and windy does not a favorable threat climate make!

LAX police/security may have a man cornered in parking garage.

Said man was ready to go thru the metal detector, when asked to remove his jacket, he grabbed his carry on bag and fled.

I think they said the man was 24, or so, but I might not have heard that correctly, I wasn't listening that carefully, snuck in the report in the middle of traffic and sports.
