we will do everything in our power to help this Marine. And if you son can get this out that would be great. I have faxed Senators all over the country in support of the Marine the ones I haven't faxed I have called. I called the Marines Office in my local area and lent them more support and they were very happy. THIS MARINE WILL NOT BE TREATED IN A BAD WAY AMERICA STANDS BEHIND HIM
GOD BLESS THIS GREAT MILITARY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL THE MARINES AND ALL THE MILITARY SERVICE PEOPLE

"To all those who are out for Sites' head."

I hope you aren't including me it that! I think Sites did a good job of reporting the incident, especially when he preemptively deflected anti-American criticisms with his on-video explanation of the exigent and mitigating circumstances surrounding the shooting.

As for how other news services got the video; at the time, Sites was acting not just as an NBC reporter, but as the designated pool reporter for a number of news services. I suspect, but don't know, that al-Jazeera was not part of the pool, but was sent a copy by one of the others that received it from Sites.

Interesting URL, thanks.

"This e-mail has been spreading like wildfire today and I felt that it was of the utmost importance that we let the MSM know that their one-sided reporting is not going to fly with we 'red-staters'."

Lemme get this straight.

Now is the time for all the politicians who support the troops but not the war to open their mouths and show their support for the troops. How about some speeches of support on the floor of Congress? It's only been a few days but the longer this goes on the more deafening is this silence.

Is there anything in the Geneva Convention about non-uniformed insurgent boobytrapped dead bodies? Maybe this will be a disincentive to continue to booby trap dead bodies.

The bottom line is the MSM is trying to make a war criminal out of this Marine and as a byproduct has produce a propaganda film for the other side. Some say a recruiting film. I believe more US troops are going to die as a result of this reporting.

Again, it would be nice to hear some words of support from our "leaders" in Congress.

I find it puzzling that the MSM has spent soooo much attention on this story and soooo little attention on the cold-blooded Jihadi execution of an innocent British woman!

The Marine followed the Rules of Engagement to the letter of the law! He will be exonerated, and he will be praised for his bravery in the face of pure evil. I would of put a cap in the be-ach without question. God bless all our fighting men and women.

lt.america may not be up to speed regarding the Ministry of Imformation. However, never let it stop us from sounding the alarm anyway. Better to try and fail than to never try at all, eh?

The MSNBC home page is still featuring the story, Iraq Shooting Probe Widens. The MSM is going to turn this into another Abu Ghraib...anything to damage the American war effort to further their own sick leftie Dem agenda.

Wait for awhile and Poohbah will show up with his "he has nothing to worry about if it was a righteous shoot." Then talk about the reporter just doing his job. He'll also ask you to cite case law for this and that.

The bottom line is: the Democrat media is doing "Hey, batter, batter! Swing, batter, batter!" from the stands on our own troops. Getting our troops to second-guess themselves on the trigger is CERTAIN to cost a few American lives.

Poohbah has been known to be a pain in the rear about some issues in the past. He was right about the people calling for Sites' head, but wrong about the media. It would be real easy to smear the media as being dangerous to the war effort, after the crap they pulled during the election.

After all, the Demmies lost in great part because people recognized a media gang-pile when they saw it.

I run a bar in Cambodia that loves our Marines and has a section of the wall dedicated to all of our military. I was sitting at the bar last night with an ex-British Marine when the story came up and some Canadian who was drinking there, dared to call this Marine a "murderer". My British Marine friend grabed the guy by the throat and within a few seconds had thrown him out on the street (I can't tell you what he said because I know this is a family friendly site).

I bought my British Marine friend drinks for the rest of the night.

If this young, and brave Marine is prosecuted, mainly just for the PC, or to "make an example of him" as I know he was just performing to the best of his training, and the Pentagon decides to court martial him, there will be an overwhelming outpouring of support for him and disgust for the "brass", the likes of which hasn't been seen for many years

pop of a rifle is heard, and the insurgent against the wall is now dead.

Having watched the raw video, this is not what happened. I must now question the authenticity of this article.
