Poll Question:

In the DISTANT FUTURE if an anti-USA alliance of China, EU, and Russia emerges, and relations explode into a WW3- do you think USA could defeat this alliance? (This is assuming that in the 'distant future' the EU has a combined military--which is VERY likely to happen).

There is a critical problem with this scenario: it completely ignores the nature of geopolitics, and has Russia allying itself with both of its geostrategic enemies at once.

"I simply can't imagine what circumstances would lead to such a realignment. It's an unreal question."

See post #9 (for starters).

Question: "POLL: COULD USA DEFEAT A TRIPLE ALLIANCE OF CHINA, EU AND RUSSIA?"

Response: If the quality of American leadership; political, industrial, social, religious etc. continues to deteriorate then the answer is no. We will probably first disintegrate from within then the conquest will come from without. For example, look at the rise in frank discussion of states seceding.

I could, I'm extremely paranoid. I'm part of the Vast Righ Wing Conspiracy. I think most of the world really, really hates, envies and despises up. They are so threatened by our culture and freedom.

We believe in individual freedom and responsibility. They believe in the mommy and daddy state to take care of them and supply all the answers so they don't have to think or worry.

Thing (Ben Grimm) would whoop either Superman or the Hulk.

I heard that Aquaman was finally outed, and always assumed Robin's day would come. But in honor of the original Riddler, the late Frank Gorshin, I refuse to even conceive that could happen.
Now, let me return to that Wonder Woman fantasy I was having.

I reckon China embarks its army on French naval vessels and tries a landing guided by vodka-swilling Russian navigators.

The landing is a success, of course, but the penguins wonder what in the world is going on...

We would need Japan or Taiwan as a base against China. We would have to quickly move through Pakistan & Afghanistan into Uzbekistan to make the invasion into Russia.

We could take the EU with quick tactical nuke strikes from submarines.

Who is stronger: Terminator or Hulk? True geeks turn to physics, not box office for answer

Popular Science magazine is even doing it.

I don't think you have to go through Afghanistan. There's the whole eastern part of Russia by Alaska.

Sure we would, because if we were losing we would just blow the whole planet to hell. Look at our use of nukes in WWII and we were winning!

Well said!

Which comedian did the riff on Wonder Woman's only superpower, her "lasso" that allowed her to read minds?
Wonder Woman: "Alright, I've got you! What are you thinking?"
Bad Guy: "Nice rack!"

If we keep giving all our manufacturing jobs to China... well I don't know then - who will make our guns and planes?

It's a scary proposition and reminds me of something I heard in my Catholic grade-school (around 1983) probably related to the Cold War of course: "When the bear and the eagle fight the world will end?"

Was that just a cold-war propaganda thing? Anyone else remember hearing that?

I'd like to think we'd kick their butts... but, they've got their military in country when ours is scattered around the globe already (remember - divide and conquer?)

If all heck broke loose it's my un-militarily educated conclusion that there could be some mighty big logistics problems...

Not sure, but it's still a good line, and apropos.

Boy you sure mix and match your action figures! I was always a GI Joe kid myself (that is, the Evil Kenevil wind-up motorcycle came out!!!).

LOL true, was just going off the top of my head on it. Then again, we would have to fight our way through Canada because they would be on THEIR side lol.
