Oliphant:
Doonsbury:
Danziger:
"It's sexist and racist."
I don't know, maybe it is, I just can't get too worked up about that part of the cartoon. They are both portrayed as imbeciles up to that point, so the "brown sugar" part doesn't bother me that much.
Of course I think it does reveal the racism of Treudeau (however you spell that French name of his!) who has never portrayed a black character in Doonsbury (that was not a real life public figure) that I can recall.
So awesome!
Yeah, I'm still laughing about it and I'll bet so is she!
Somebody should send these cartoons to Oprah, and let her see what her fellow Democrats are up to. I'd like to see Oprah try to defend this.
I hesitated to click on this thread, because I kinda knew what I'd be seeing.
That said, I hope these liberal BIGOTS know what complete asses they are making out of themselves. Watch out for the white hoods on these "goon" jounalists, as they will do anything for their liberal cause. They CANNOT stand the fact that our country is becoming color-blind, thus leaving their agenda in the smoke.
God bless our president for looking NOT at the color of one's skin, but their expertise, in appointing them to high powered postions.
If Doonesbury "Treudeau", and his ilk, had their way, Rosa Parks would still be sitting at the back of the bus.
Mine was as well. After living here I understood more than I needed too.
Instead of calling him back again, she should spend her time and energy forwarding that racist, sexist cartoon to every woman she knows, of any color.
Oh, and tell your friend for me that she is a true American heroine. Wish I could drive up to SF and take her flowers. (And no, I do not use the masculine "hero" for women, as has become fashionable.)
Why don't you just make a point instead of acting like a troll.
That's an excellent idea. I think I'll email my friend, if she hasn't done so already.
It doesn't matter if you're a conservative or liberal--these examples should offend anyone with a sense of decency. These are NOT examples of PC-bashing or partisan politics. These racist/sexist cartoons do show the liberal (white boy) cartoonist's "true colors" as my friend POINTED OUT.
She is a wonderful lady and a proud American. She and her family have made many sacrifices in order to homeschool. She has been instrumental in getting more minority families interested in homeschooling--a difficult, but rewarding experience, according to her. I've given my friend the URL to this thread. I call female heroines "heroines" too!
She's drawn to look like the Butterfly McQueen character of Prissy in the 1939 film of Gone With the Wind.
Of course Prissy's most famous line in that movie is "Lawd God, Miz Scahlett! I don' know nuthin 'bout birthin' no babies!"
Clearly the most racist cartoon of the bunch.
One, er, fine citizen called my favorite talk show the day before yesterday and called Dr. Rice "White Rice." Is it "progressive" thinking that black people who are high achievers aren't actually Negro? That they are traitors? That they are anomalies? If I were but a psychiatrist.
sorry i used the term rather losely, i am against afirmative action as well. ive seen it in action and it has yet to correct any injustice but stands to cause more.

This cartoon in particular p!$$e$ me off immensely. Like Bush would appoint a woman with no ability to think independently to the Secretary of State position. This makes me fell almost violent.
felt that for years , they might as well have called the woman a stupid Nigg**
Disgusting, Grotesque, Racist Dr. Rice Cartoons
