Vanity ^ | Nov.17th. 2004 | self

Pictures of my son Steve. (FR screen name "smaagee")with James Gandolfini, and Tony Sirico of the "Sopranos" Which just shows to go you that not all actors are lib traitors.

Steve left Iraq after more than a year there and is currently in Kuwait. He leaves Kuwait tomorrow and will go to Ft. Lewis, Washington for a few days and then home by a few days after Thanksgiving. He is with the 724th, Transportation Co., a "Stryker" support unit. His company has had casualities and still has one man MIA - Spec4 Matt Maupin. Pray for Matt's safe return.

FR member "Hairofthedog" is arranging a greeting party for the company. If you are in the Seattle area contact her if you are interested.

FReepmail Steve with a welcome home ("smaagee")

ROFLOL!!! I just crack up every time I see it. That burro just looks so resigned to it's fate.

Welcome home, hero!

If I read correctly, you'll miss Thanksgiving dinner with your family. Take comfort. The leftovers are always better!

Prayers for the safety of Matt and ALL of our heros.

He certainly does not look emaciated

Is that any way to talk about a war vet? Sure I may have added a few pounds over here, but I would like to see yuo dad go for a jog when you dont know where the next mortar round will fall. Not to mention that my job involved hauling fuel for 10-15 hours at a stretch. Not much room for exercise. Besides, in the immortal words of Eric Cartman "I'm not fat, I'm big boned.". Just kidding you guys. THe gut is gone when I get home. See ya soon.

Steve

I swear, it is now necessary to be extremely good looking to be in the military. Please know how grateful we are to you and to all who serve. I'm so glad you are going to get to spend the holiday with loved ones BACK IN THE US OF A.

I didn't realize how heavily emotionally invested I was in these guys until I saw your photos. I'm so happy for your family!

In the #2 photo, it looks like Paulie is saying, "No, HERE'S the real star!"

Kudos for you blessing. Matt Maupin is from our area, and I don't hold out much hope if he didn't turn up in Fallujah. Stil, prayers.

There was a report a few months ago of a film of him being murdered by the terrorists but as far as I know it was not confirmed.
