God bless you Rummy...slap some sense into the idiots in D.C.!
The initiative's founder says he's encouraged by Arizona's election results, a 12-point victory for Proposition 200.
MIKE SPENCE, PRESIDENT, CALIFORNIA REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY: The elites in Arizona, you know, of both parties opposed Proposition 200, and yet the people still voted for it. I think we're going to have that same situation here in California.
CASEY WIAN, CNN: From ballot initiatives to petition drives, seven states are now considering limits on illegal alien benefits. Many are motivated by the failure of the federal government to control illegal immigration.

Rumsfeld, Borders and Terrorism (((PING)))
Talk is cheap, we need immediate action...
"And this is something that there may be some disconnect within the administration..~"
Ya think? LOL Cheap labor for donors is more important than citizen safety..that's obvious. This President can talk and talk, but until he stops the border running, we simply are not safe. Period. I shudder to think how many are already in here because he refuses to close the borders to illegal traffic.
I Have been yelling about this till I'm RED in the FACE!!
Take the Class Fence 101 at the Jewish University in Isreal!!

Yoo Hoo! Don? They're already here. Been here for years.
"Secretary Rumsfeld also said the United States has to be, as he put it, smarter and quicker in securing our borders. The federal government's failure to secure those borders is leading individual states to take action. Arizona's Proposition 200, which limits state benefits for illegals, passed overwhelmingly two weeks ago. Now at least half a dozen other states are considering similar measures."

Rumsfeld must be some kind of racist.
Where's bayufraud?
Take the man out of the woodshed and let him lead this thing.
You think Don?
DONALD RUMSFELD: The risk is that some of these human-smuggling routes into our country from this hemisphere could be used just as easily for terrorists. ~snip~

Okay - We have the House on the side of the nation(people) - now we need to get the Senate - I think a bill is coming up soon - containing something about immigration - and a report said something about the White House and Senate taking out the immigration issue(funding?) -
I have already e-mailed my Senators - haven't heard back - which is par for them - but maybe it wouldn't hurt to let all Senators know that the people don't agree with President Bush on this issue - Or perhaps I should say don't agree with McCain's view on illegals -
just my thoughts - Great that Rum. is waking up finally -
Well, Rummy, welcome to the party. I've been complaining about this to the WH and the RNC for at least seven or eight months now. I am glad someone is finally waking up maybe to shut the barn door a tad too late.
Suddenly Pat Buchanan's idea of building a wall along the Mexican border doesn't look quite so radical.
"
REP. JOHN HOSTETTLER (R-IN), CHAIRMAN, SUBCOMMITTEE ON IMMIGRATION AND BORDER SECURITY: : Well, the House will not be taking up in a positive sense guest worker legislation. We know that this is a priority for some in Washington. It is not a priority for the House of Representatives. In fact, those of us in the House that deal closely with the immigration issue believe that we need to go the other way. And that is look at the issue of enforcement and strong enforcement of our immigration laws in order to keep not only more millions of illegal aliens out, but to do something about the 10 plus million that are here now.
.....this is something that we have been concerned about for years. It is an issue that, as we look at the number of individuals crossing the southern border, referred to as OTMs, or other than Mexicans, that number is rising drastically, because others in the world realize that our southern border is porous. Our men and women in uniform and the Border Patrol are doing everything they can and then some to enforce and strengthen the border. There are just not enough of them. And this is something that there may be some disconnect within the administration.."~snip~
