ATHENS, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Scuffles broke out on Tuesday between Muslim Greeks and a television crew filming an episode of a popular series near a mosque in northeastern Greece, police said.
They said about 400 Muslim Greeks in the village of Echinos, angered by the presence of actresses not wearing head scarves near the entry of the mosque, gathered around the television crew demanding they leave.

Now now. Islam is a peaceful, tolerant religion. It preaches peace and love and DEATH TO ALL BITCHES WHO SHOW THEIR FACE!

To leave some Greeks alive in their ancestral homeland small communities were allowed to live on each side of the border between Greece and Turkey. The Christians in Turkey keep shrinking but the Greek Muslim numbers have not.

There was a population transfer in the 1920s when many Greeks were forced to flee from Turkey and many Muslims in Greece went to Turkey, but the Turks in the Greek part of Thrace were allowed to stay put, along with the Greeks living in Constantinople. (Apparently there are now very few of them still there.)
Some of the "Greeks" who fled from Turkey only spoke Turkish but they were considered Greeks because they were Greek Orthodox in religion.
I think there may be some Muslim Albanians in Greece too, but this doesn't seem to be about members of that group.

It will be interesting to see if there is any official, or even unofficial, reaction from the Greek government or the Greeks. Right now there are about 130,000 Mohammedans in Greece, mostly in Thrace and mostly ethnic Turks. There are about 2000 Greek Orthodox Christians left resident in Turkey.

Where does one begin responding to the inaccuracies and blatant lies in your comment? I assume that the comments are made out of ignorance or a thinly veiled antipathy against Greeks and Christian Greek history...

That's because your religion is not a bloodthirsty satanic death-cult hellbent upon tearing down all human civilization, oppressing women, and casting the world back into the very worst ideas of the seventh century.
well said. PS I think greeks can take care of the, selves pretty well, but can we come along to the shootout?

1.I won this belt buckle.
2. I was just helping the sheep over the fence.

Or are these more knuckledragging demon possessed moon-god terrorist followers of Muhammad doing some PR for the Religion of Peace? /s
