Thanks be for Al-Jazeerah, who leads us from the darkness of our hypocrisy and into the light of Holy Journalism! Yea, verily, without them NBC, ABC, and CBS would have no ethical equal...
Al-Jazeera - and their minions, the American News Networks - will not air the slaughter and dismemberment of their Holy Insurgency's female hostage. They will not show the hours and hours of footage of torture and beheadings left behind by their Holy Rebels. They will not interview the emaciated surviving hostages, left beaten and in chains. That blood is offered freely, by their own agents, and so it is not attractive.
No, instead, they will show the footage of an American Marine shooting one of the Holy Insurgents in the mosque.
The High Priests of the Evening News speak:
"Turn on the Holy Box of Broadcasting, O Heathen Nation - lay out the Sacred Scroll of the Old Gray Lady, Ye of Little Brain. The visage of your News Gods fill the airwaves and the columns - surely they will tell you what to think! No "allegedly's" will parse the statements of your Anchor-Deities, no qualifiers will besmirch the sacred Text of the Oracles of Printed Page. Instead, Judgment will flow as a river of words to all the people, condemning this Bastard Nation, this Heretic America, this Evil that stalks the Holy City of Fallujah - to Hell! to HELL!
Curse all for the camo they wear! Revile those who wear the Flag of the Free! Damn them to Hell for their incessant need to defend and protect this Nation of Infidels, this Land of Boy Scouts and Warriors!"
The Gods of the NewsWorld shriek, lips foaming, spittle flying - they demand a sacrifice. They have rutted upon the corpse of Abu Ghraib for too long now; they need fresh blood, fresh American fighters to revile and consume before the camera, upon the front pages. The News Gods hands tremble as they point to their Valkyries of Video, their Pantheon of Photographers - "Go forth, find one American Fighter worthy of our incessant hatred!"
They have found a bloodsoaked, weary Marine in Fallujah - surely he will sate their hunger for vengance.
Turn on your television and watch your News Gods tonight, America. The suits will be pressed, the expressions smug; but if you look closely, you can see the orgasmic tremble, the breathless waiting; they are waiting for their feast of blood, their new sacrifice -
One American Marine, to be torn apart before the world and consumed by the ravening Overlords of the Airwaves...
A Freeper Keeper. Great Post!
The mainstream (so-called) media is hell-bent on turning the American publics will against this war just the same way they did the war I fought in 35 years ago. They're so utterly despicable and corrupt beyond definition.
pitiful, pitiful, pitful! God Bless that Marine.
Enough is enough, Freepers need to go on the offensive. Time to bring down these modern day champions of evil. I'm referring to the treasonous news media in our great nation! F CBS, F NBC, F the U.N. F'm all...
Get out!
They know nothing of Honor, Committment, Courage, Pride, Tradition, Heritage, Trust, Loyalty and least of all, what it means to be an American!!!
Excellent!
bump
I agree with the sentiment, but reading through that was some pretty heavy sledding.
I really hope that journalists working for the terrorists in Iraq don't come down with lead poisoning...
I'll second that
We hear you, believe me. Sent out letters this morning and made phone calls to congressmen, senators, MSM and the Marine Corp...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
If you read it in the voice of "Rev. Lovejoy" from the Simpsons, it makes it easier.
Since I haven't a clue what "heavy sledding" is, I'll just say I meant it to be that way - yeah, that's the ticket.
I believe the MSM strategy will backfire here. Most Americans will not be repulsed by seeing a Marine kill a terrorist during the heat of battle, in fact many will silently thank him. Also, taking a completely negative stance against our guys 24/7 will turn the public opinion tide against the MSM, not against the military, just as it did with Kerry when he chose to run a totally negative campaign against Bush. It will become known that this Marine was fighting with a bullet wound to his face that he received just the day before, and in the end he'll be viewed more a hero than a villian, IMO.
Is there a FREEPER call to action on this issue yet? If not, let's get it going...

And it is interesting that this comes at such an opportune time. It happens just as the Congress is beginning its investigation of the UN. The One Worlders in our news media will crap on America every time to save Kofi Annan (or whatever anti-American corrupt socialist is running the UN at the time).
We can't win with these people drowning us.
If you read it in the voice of "Rev. Lovejoy" from the Simpsons, it makes it easier.
Okily Dokily.

I just sent the following email to NBC and MSNBC (I urge you to send your comments to these Liberal jerks as well):
I would like to suggest that the management staff at NBC and MSNBC and the nightly news team, take a rifle, go to Fallujah, dodge bullets or worse to defend our country; take your chances of being wounded or killed; then you will have "earned the right" to question what our marines do. I and millions of American voters are disgusted at your liberal-biased news reporting. Your attempt to take down this country and our President must make our founding fathers "turn in their graves."
