MARINE IN SHOOTING PROBE (yes...by the UN...gaggg)

The United Nations has called for an investigation into a series of alleged abuses in the Iraqi city of Fallujah.

Human rights official Louise Arbour said those responsible for any violations should be brought to justice.

Controversy over the Fallujah offensive was fuelled by video footage showing a US Marine shooting dead a wounded and unarmed Iraqi.

The pictures showed some marines entering the mosque on Saturday.

The marine, who has since been taken off battlefield duty, is seen standing above a figure slumped against a wall aiming his rifle at the man's body.

"He's f****** faking he's dead," the soldier is heard to shout. "He's breathing... he's f****** faking he's dead."

A shot rings out, and the words: "He is now" can be heard on the video.

US broadcaster NBC said the dead man, one of about five pictured inside the mosque, was an unarmed insurgent who had been discovered the previous day and been left to await medical attention.

The reports said the unnamed marine involved had been wounded in the face the day before the killing but had returned to duty almost immediately.

Another soldier had died moving the booby-trapped body of an insurgent.

The US military has begun an investigation into possible war crimes over the incident.

The First Marine Division said it wanted to determine whether the marine acted in self-defence, violated military law or failed to comply with the international Law of Armed Conflict.

"Anyone still think we should be in the UN?"

Move them to France.

We need to start an investigation into France's deliberate firing upon unarmed civilians in the Ivorian nation.

Tell the UN to pack it up their A**. This incident will be investigated by the Marine Corps and the Marine will be dealt with fairly. No way those oil grubbing bastards at the UN have the moral authority to challenge or investigate the performance of any of our Military in war.

Kerry and company still want to subject our citizens to the the ICC?

He's not the only one.

SPECTER supported subjecting our troops to trials by the International Criminal Court (ICC)!

On June 6, 2002, Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) voted against adding the American Servicemembers' Protection Act (ASPA) to the 2002 Supplemental Appropriations Act for Further Recovery From and Response to Terrorist Attacks on the United States. Source The ASPA is "a bill to protect United States military personnel and other elected and appointed officials of the United States Government against criminal prosecution by an international criminal court to which the United States is not a party." Source --- Essentially, Specter is on record as being the only Republican Senator to vote in support of subjecting our military men and women...

This Marine is being punished before the trial thanks to the media

This media is so evil. Definitely the enemy. Bastards.

As for Sites and the rest of his commie loving ilk, if they want to cover Fallujah, make them go out on their own. Let's see how much they love the terrorists when they lie in the street without arms and legs.

I am so upset for this Marine. Those bastards.

"We need to start an investigation into France's deliberate firing upon unarmed civilians in the Ivorian nation."

We should send e-mails to the French embassy: "Isn't it time you surrendered to the Ivory Coast Army?"

This Marine is a hero, and I'm grateful for his sacrifice. He was shot in the face the day before by a TERRORIST pretending to be wounded. Did he take advantage of the injury to avoid battle like John Kerry? No. He went back to the front lines to join his unit in the BATTLE TO PROTECT FREEDOM. He is a patriot and a true warrior.

The UN is proving itself to be completely irrelevant. Every government on the planet, with the exception of America, has only it's best interest at heart when it comes to international affairs. America spreads freedom around the globe, and for this we are hated by the rest of the world. The UN obstructs freedom wherever possible. They promote greed, despotic dictatorships, and corruption, and for this they are held in the highest regard by countries like France, Russia, and Germany. It's time to pull their lease.

DA UN?
They have the nerve to even question our heroic American soldiers in Iraq?
Where exactly were the UN "troops" in Rwanda when the massacre and slaughter of over ONE MILION women and children was going on?
Didn't the UN's sorry excuse for troops, under a Canadian "General" no less, simply scurry away like the rats that they were, and let people get slaughtered?
Da UN has no business even daring to question America's glorious dispatch of insane Islamic terrorist crazies to the next world.
If you ask me,we should put a bullet in the head of every single one of the murdering Islamic terrorists we find in Fallujah.
Those psychos have been murdering Iraqi civilians every single day.
Theseterorits have no business continuing to live.

Senator Norm Coleman has called for an investigation into the systemic and endemic corruption that pervades the den of thieves otherwise known as the UN.

Really? Go Norm!

It's a war. There are battles. The terrorists are breaking every rule of warfare, including faking surrender and shooting from inside mosques, and if a soldier wants to avoid unnecessary damage to gov't property [himself] he needs to take action when in danger.

Why is the evil UN not calling for an investigation into crazed French troops, shooting unarmed innocent Black African women and children just last week?
and instead, the weasel UN is whining about an evil, murdering terrorist a**hole getting exactly what he deserves?
The UN has now now become the apologists for all terrorists worldwide.
The sinking of the UN into irrelevance continues unabated.
Screw the UN.

Faking that you are dead means that he is not surrendering and still intends to try and cause harm; this makes him a combatant using deception to attempt death or injury against his enemy. He was shot to prevent that.

No problem at all and this guy should not be punished for doing that which a Marine does.
