Marine accused of wrongful shooting needs our help...
16 nov 04 | Atlanta

Posted on 11/16/2004 4:34:34 AM PST by Atlanta

I'm going to start with a communication of support of this young Marine, to the Commandant of the Marine Corps himself. Then, President Bush and my Senator/Congressman.They are going to hear from me and I have all friggin day to do it. I am so livid about this that words cannot describe. As a former Marine myself, this young "Leather" was doing what he was trained to do, adapting to unreasonable circumstances (enemy tricks) and he did exactly what I would have done and what has always been done with a fanatical enemy. If authorities hang this Marine out to dry, I will never stop raising hell and will become a point man for pulling these guys out of theater entirely...MSM is SICK. Other suggestions?

I'm sorry for you and your fellows regarding the recent violence in your country. It's good that some of the Moroccan community is marching against the violent Muslims, but do you get the sense that there's widespread outcry from Muslims there against the terrorism? How about the anti-Muslim violence? We hear there has been outcry against that, too, but is that just blown out of proportion or not?

We have been hearing lately about the problems the Netherlands have started having with Islamofascists also. Keep your eyes open--we'll pray for you and your friends.

we will do the same for you and your most brave and wonderful troops

"WE" are most certainly better than "they" are, but the motto of the jungle (I dare say the battle of Fallujah resembled a sandy jungle) is SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.

Therefore, the fact that the Marine DIDN'T wait to see if this guy was going to blow himself, the reporter, and the rest of he buddies, to smithereens, mean they SURVIVED to live and fight another day.

Case Closed.

P. S. I bet if you asked the friendly Iraqis, they would not complain that our guys were overly aggresive.

I saw it on FNC last night. They blacked out the actual shot but you could see the Marine approaching the alleged innocent man the video blacks but you can hear the shot from his M-16 then the video re-appears as the Marine is walking away and another Marine is checking to make sure the guy is realy dead.

I also heard that the Marine that fired the shot had been wounded in fighting the day before and had returned to the fight the day the incident happened.

IMHO...I don't see what the big deal is. The dead guy was the enemy...the bad guys have a tendency to fake being dead to draw a soldier in to kill them or they outright boobytrap the dead bodies. If shooting this terrorist saved even ONE soldiers life I say good for the Marine.

We should flood Chris Matthews, asking him when the condemnation and the horror will come from him regarding the execution not of a terrorist but an innocent woman who dedicated her life to helping Iraquis. Fat insufferable imbecile hot air spewer.

He mentioned the cells, the places where be-headings had taken place, the stocks of ammuntions and firearms. In other words, I think he was telling the MSM is a not so subtle way, that it would be prudent to tell the WHOLE story of Fallujah, not just this one incident.

Now THAT's the answer.

lion cloth = loin cloth

I was typing to fast 8)

I truly believe the media needs to be banned of the basis of giving confort to the enemy. Too much is slanted to far.

Col. Hunt or MG Vallely might try to correcct BO...but as soon as they tried he'd get that pious look on his face raise that right hand with the big pen in it and proclaim "I believe that I'm pretty close in my assessment"...then dive to a commercial break.

well, if there was any muslim demonstration against these extremists over here in Holland, I'm afraid to say I must have missed it.

a recent poll (never trust a poll is my rule, but sometimes I'm willing to make an exception) said 40% think they ought to be deported out of Europe and 76% do not trust them (anymore).

Our politicians are all trying to condemn the violence happening from all sides (muslim extremists, neonazi wannabees, ultra leftist wacko's, they've all been at it) but they are not very successful up to now. But a lot of people feel too many politicians side with the muslims and cozy up to them too much, and all politicians who don't are literally in hiding because of death threats flying around 13 a dozen these days.

The only good thing, people are waking up here by the bushes, not just here in Holland, but also in Belgium and other countries, except... you guessed it... France. It could be too late, but then again it might not be. Not if I can help it anyway. And if it is, I know one wonderful country I would gladly live and work in.

I would suggest not using a boilerplate. They will discard boilerplate letters. Just a simple heartfelt response will do it. They will get the idea, and I know everyone on this board can write from the heart!

".MSM is SICK. Other suggestions?"

Oh, their not sick. They are very healthy Communists.

The only suggestion I can think of is to make them accountable for the job they do. Hell, everyone has to be accountable. Why should these A-holes be able to lie and manipulate the truth to fit their agenda. New laws to fine the hell out of them, if caught lying, or misrepresenting a story, or showing bias.
