Councilman Mike Sabatino said jailing someone for leaving trash cans out is a little over the top.And he's right. This idea is insane.

Councilman Mike Sabatino said jailing someone for leaving trash cans out is a little over the top. Uh, yeah. And Charles Manson had impulse control issues.
"Hey Spike, waddya in for?"
"Carjacking, murder 2, and running a crack house".
"How about you, new guy? Waddya in for?"
"I put my trash can out before 8 PM on Thursday."

Statistically, isn't putting out the trash can early a sort of "gateway" crime? Soon, the youth are looking for greater thrills than just putting out the can on Tuesday, so they're drawn into a life of lawlessness. All this human tragedy because the city didn't take the outcome of putting trash can early seriously.
Or something.

Simple solution.
Drop a trash can in the mayor's front yard.
Call the police.

I had fun at Ohio State. Ultimately, I'm glad I decided to move out of Ohio though. Crazy laws and ordinances like this were being passed all the time, at least around the campus. Not suprising to see the craziness extends to the suburbs.

Silly government types will make a simple task like taking out the trash so complicated that people will just dump it in the woods instead.
This law isn't about sanitation - its merely cosmetic. And it is over the top.

wow..sounds like where i live in kalifornia, where neighbors are encouraged to rat each other out for such serious offenses as putting the wrong kind of trash into the wrong can, lighting the fireplace on a non-approved night, or parking your car in the wrong direction in front of your house.

If they have a garbage Bear problem like Eureka Ca does you have to make changes. In Eurekas case they had the garbage company delay their trucks until 6am so we can put our cans out in the morning. Some people for whatever reason still put their cans out the night before... :~)
