Not Hitlery, not ever.
I'm a bit surprised that neither Mark Warner nor Phil Bredesen are on the Democrat list (especially the former).
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Call me crazy, but I think Al Gore will run again and the leftists are in his corner after the Dean endorsement and his vein-popping harangues the past couple years. I think he's the odds on early favorite (I don't think they'll be stupid enough to nominate Hillary). I don't think they're gonna move to the center (e.g., Bayh).
"PLACE BETS NOW!"
Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
I bet on the beast.. Hildebeast that is. If Rudy runs, well...who knows? LOL
Bill Frist I guess...(I'd activly campaign to STOP McCain)
I believe you may be right. Al Gore's been dreaming of the White House since he was a child. I would not count him out yet, and if Hillary runs to the center, Gore can keep screaching on the left and carry the fringe in the primaries.
I don't think he'll win though. Hillary running in the primaries will bring in very high turnout (for a primary) and she'll carry it.
But I think Gore does despise the Clintons, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him try to torpedo her campaign.
At 18-1 I put my money down on John F. Kerry. He won more votes than any Presidential candidate before him. In 2008 he'll be tanned (real this time), rested and ready.
The people will agree with you too. I think Evan Bayh will become more of a household name, over the next 2 or 3 years. He, after all, wasn't the one saying that he's going to take things away from people for the good of everyone, a HUGE Hillary gaffe. That line alone destroyed whatever chance Hillary had at the Presidency.
When the economy is flying high in '08 with construction spending up, consumer confidence up, home ownership up, unemployment down, etc. who's going to vote for someone who once said they're going to take things away from them?
Hillary winning the Democrat nomination is a pipe-dream, IMHO. The Democrat party is reorganizing and the big liberals, i.e., Hillary, Pelosi, Kennedy, etc. will lose to the moderates.
A political party, at some point, has to win a national election. And while the above three folks can win in their own state, they can't win over the entire country -- they're too liberal.
Agree.. with baby boomers beginning to retire over the next 4 years, alot of jobs are going to be opening up. That's another reason why we needed to win on Nov 2nd.. whoever won is going to precede over a raging economy when the 08 elections came around. Thank god it's us.
Hitlery knows that the kook fringe will never get her elected. So she has only one option. Spend the next 4 years becoming a moderate (in appearance only). My guess is that Red America will not buy it!
I saw on DU while lurking, a general disavowing of the Hildabeast. They claim she is just too polarizing. I would submit she is too communist..
I can hear the Captain now...
"How many of you think the government should suck up everybody's money? Show of hands, NOW! Well, you're wrong."
... WHAT moderates? Barack Obama, the socialist in disguise? The only Democrats left in elected office are the far-left ones from far-left states and districts.
McCain is in the lead?
Reminds me why I love ignoring this place. "President McCain" isn't going to happen. "President Owens" might.
Obama at only 52.6 to 1? With most Dems and Old Media chanting his praises in rapturous unison, orgasming in ecstasy at his every utterance no matter how banal or platitudinous, in complete awe of their apparent messiah's perfection, how can this be?
