The people will agree with you too. I think Evan Bayh will become more of a household name, over the next 2 or 3 years. He, after all, wasn't the one saying that he's going to take things away from people for the good of everyone, a HUGE Hillary gaffe. That line alone destroyed whatever chance Hillary had at the Presidency.
When the economy is flying high in '08 with construction spending up, consumer confidence up, home ownership up, unemployment down, etc. who's going to vote for someone who once said they're going to take things away from them?
Hillary winning the Democrat nomination is a pipe-dream, IMHO. The Democrat party is reorganizing and the big liberals, i.e., Hillary, Pelosi, Kennedy, etc. will lose to the moderates.
A political party, at some point, has to win a national election. And while the above three folks can win in their own state, they can't win over the entire country -- they're too liberal.
Agree.. with baby boomers beginning to retire over the next 4 years, alot of jobs are going to be opening up. That's another reason why we needed to win on Nov 2nd.. whoever won is going to precede over a raging economy when the 08 elections came around. Thank god it's us.
... WHAT moderates? Barack Obama, the socialist in disguise? The only Democrats left in elected office are the far-left ones from far-left states and districts.
I for one would LOVE to see Hillary get the nomination. Because if she gets it, there is NO WAY she will win the presidency. She will scare the pants (or, in her case, pantsuits) off mainstream voters.
Evan just won relection, and gave the Keynote speech at the 2000 Dem Convention. Lately, if you watch his voting record, he has voted with the GOP and against the DEMs on many issues. He is a conservative Democrat.
