As Bill Clinton's library is unveiled at a gala opening this week, one thing is certain: His messy legacy will be on full display.
One alcove will be dedicated to impeachment, and organizers have promised not to sidestep even Monica Lewinsky or Paula Jones. The 58-year-old political superstar is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors a year to his library.
"Bill Clinton is a rock star," said Skip Rutherford, head of Clinton's nonprofit foundation that built the $165 million library. "He is Elvis."
The William J. Clinton Presidential Center, a metaphorical "bridge to the 21st century" cantilevered out over the bank of the Arkansas River, opens Thursday as the highlight of a week of programs, exhibits and symposiums.
The week will include an Aretha Franklin concert, a science discussion by astronaut and former Democratic Sen. John Glenn, dedication of new sculptures on the riverfront and at the airport, and a reception to which Whoopi Goldberg, Cicely Tyson and Quincy Jones have been invited.
At Thursday morning's grand opening, speakers will include Clinton, his wife Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, President Bush, former President Bush and former President Carter. Some 30,000 guests have been invited to gather on the library lawn and U2's Bono and The Edge will perform.

clinton's main support blocks are in the liberal coastal states - none of those people want to vacation in little rock to see the library.
"it was television so I don't know if he was a healthy color or not. He was pale and his voice wasn't strong"
That's because lunatic Bill clinton should've still been in bed recoverying from serious surgery. Which is why the Clintons prove how their ego driven tyranny rules even over their own health. They're mad with power hence think they're literally invinceable. What a rush they must live off of huh.
Wow! I better hurry up and not get my ticket so I can be sure to not go to the Bill Clinton Library and Massage Parlor.

IMHO The surgery didn't take enough out of him....
His Library can rot as far as I'm concerned,Nothing there worth seeing.
And like Elvis Costello, Clinton got a free pass for his racial slur. As for Diana Krall, she's nails on a chalkboard as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry. I've never posted an image and it seems I need to polish up on my HTML.
wow
Actually I think the correct spelling in this case would be Clinton LIBARY and Massage parlor.
Oh no!!! Don't stay home.
Go, write in the book, enjoy.
Even than Carter's?
Carter's is in Atlanta I believe. at least there are other tourist attractions there.
"a metaphorical "bridge to the 21st century"
More like a metaphorical bridge to the outhouse!
The Carter Library here has positioned itself as a conference center, and Jimmuh managed to get it situated on a major highway (which he arm-twisted the state into building for him - but that's another whole story! What a debacle that turned out to be. It didn't turn out the way Jimmuh wanted, serve him right.)
So there's pretty steady traffic in and out of that place, but I don't think they get many visitors perusing Jimmuh's "legacy", such as it is. I found their website, but can't find anything about number of visitors per year - guess it's not high or they'd be bragging about it.
White Trash on Parade. He should have gotten just a Bookmobile.....Presidential Libraries are for adults.
I did a lot of research when they were building the Clinton library and I believe that the Carter Library has something along the lines of 80,000 or visitors a year and thats for a place in Atlanta.
How the moronic city Fathers here in L.R. think they will get 150,000 to 300,000 folks a year here is beyond me.
