There are no words that can properly describe the depths of arrogance, intolerance, insularity and anti-Americanism this widespread response represents.

Sure there are: "Air America." :)

Quite a bit of that "wrong track" rating might have been conservatives fearful that John Kerry was winning. The positive polling numbers seem to have increased markedly since the election.

In order to cooperate, the left would first have to admit that they might be wrong in a few areas and the rest of America might have a few good points to offer. If one thing is certain about Liberals it is that they are far too arrogant to ever do this.

This is especially true of the MSM. Their news casts and headlines will be filled with even more vile accusations about the President and those who voted for his re-election. To do less woud be to acknowledge their failure to succeed in this election. The MSM, in partnership with the dnc, is working to destroy the moral fiber of this nation.

It was very simple for me- here's how I explained it to the undecided:

I can support a man I don't always agree with- I can't support a man I can't trust.

I would have used different words, but generally well stated.

What is left out, is that he who shapes the battle, wins the battle. The constitutional majority in this country have been shaping this battle for at least the last 20 years as they have been developing their forces on the Internet and Talk Radio, and learning to win tactical skirmishes on CCW permits and holding down State taxes. The battlefield is the Media, in its entirety, and the percentage controlled by the Old Media (the 60's liberals) has been shrunk severely.

It is as if one side, the constitutionalists, were battle hardened veterans who recently developed aircraft, and the other side, the 60's leftists, were pampered armchair general province administrators who hadn't ridden into battle in their cavalry regiment for a decade, and didn't believe in that newfangled aircraft nonsense.

We have been bloodied and won some fights, and we accept the new technology with gusto, because it allows us to shatter the old cavalry and sweep them from the field. Now we have taken the remaining high ground (the election). Let the culture war begin!

The election has shown the Left they are not as successful as they had thought.

And isn't it wonderful?

"it is a war we must win."

Actually, conservatives are already winning, albeit it very, very slowly. Look at the facts: crime has fallen to its lowest point in over 30 years, out-of-wedlock pregnancies are falling, the number of abortions is slipping, support for unialteral disarmament is way down, serving in the military is seen as honorable, the use of hard drugs is down (though marajuana use is up), the number of divorces is slowly falling, church attendance is rising. There is a chance that Roe vs. Wade will cease to be the law of the land in our lifetimes, something I never thought possible before.

This article is close to being spot-on in its analysis of current America. Many have prayed for this victory and GW Bush has been the "lightening rod" in exposing those liberals who have been hiding in our mist. They knew what Bush represented and threw off their masks revealing as Michael Savage coined, "the enemy within".
With them exposed, now is the time to refute their boldness in trying to destroy those things we hold dear. America must and has awoken from the stupor imposed by these elitists. America is not a Euro social bastion for those who choose to live in a country they only show contempt for.
The Liberals do have power both real and perceived in wealth and media. Our country has a rich history filled with God fearing citizens and leaders, a source of strength unrealized by those who attack it. May God bless this mighty nation and the brave people who live here.

"How could a President with so many perceived negatives win with such relative ease?"

False perception.

That's easy.

And what sent the Democrat Party reeling was the double whammy of sudden confrontation of the delusional with truth and a well-deserved backhanded bitchslap by the American people.

"The Culture War Has Begun"

This strange statement reminds me of the days following 9/11 when Americans were acknowledging that a Terrorism War had begun.

Nonsense!

That War had been going on for many years. The Clinton Administration either didn't recognize that OBL and the Terrorists were at war with us or they recognized it and were afraid to engage!

For decades now, the Culture War has raged. It was raging when:

the ACLU; the National Education Association Union (the largest in America) and its political agenda; Hollywood; People for the American Way; the vast educational bureaucracies in the universities that control teacher training; the liberal media; the liberal law schools and their graduates who became judges--

when all these entities and more, began to do their work at eroding and actually censoring out America's Founding Ideas from the public square, from the nation's textbooks, the Culture War was going on.

Perhaps America's so-called "silent majority" have now been awakened, and they finally are ready to engage in the battle.

It's way past time.

In Germany, in 1933, Hitler burned the books containing the great ideas of liberty and of civilization. Over the past few decades, without lighting a fire, the liberal organizations have been just as efficient in effectively "erasing" the founding ideas from the American mind.

Home schools, private schools, privately funded organizations, and the internet are now enabling many citizens to be exposed to those ideas for the first time, and they like what they've learned.

CBS, NBC, ABC, and the various leftist organizations no longer set the intellectual boundaries for millions of citizens in the so-called "red" or "blue" states.

"Now, the true face of liberalism is being exposed. Instead of accepting the loss and looking ahead to the next election, liberals have launched into a psychotic paroxysm of rage and insults unseen in American politics since the aftermath of the Civil War." Putting the focus upon the pre-civil war ravings of the slavers might be more to the point. And the irrationality of the left's outbursts attests their bitterness at being exposed for their extremes. How can a political party defend partial birth serial killing of alive, preborn children? Amazing stuff that!

Why is John Kerry not President today

Ah, excuse me, even if he had won, he wouldn't be President today. Bush's 1st term isn't up yet.

Because the MSM, the propaganda wing of the Democratic party, no longer holds the monopoly!
