Okay, I'd just like to know how FReepers weigh in on who should adorn the cover of TIME at the end of the year, or who you think they will pick.
She's had a really rough year but in the end, Bush still won re-election, Scott Hamilton was found guilty, the Red Sox won the World Series, and there were no major terrorist attacks on America. So all ended well and the Queen of FoxNews continues to wear her crown with pride and dignity.
Greta Susteran - Time Person of the Year
(You knew I was going to vote for you, Greta)
Dan Rather, They always stick with their own.
Holtz

The GI.
..... Hamid Karzai, the first democratically-elected leader of Afghanistan in all of history.
Scott Hamilton was found guilty?
Suha Arafat. Dead terrorist, the world is a better place, and she scores $22 million from the poor. Just how cool is that?
However, I fear it will be Arafat.
YES! He was found guilty Friday of killing his wife and baby. I'm a little upset that he only got 2nd degree on the baby but no matter, he's a goner either way. (This was a BIG story Friday, where have you been?)
Allawi,O'neill and swifties,George Bush,Mel Gibson. They all meet the criteria for choosing Person of the year as people who have made an impact on the world. If I had to choose I would pick Mel Gibson because he sacrificed so much to make "Passion",then get it in the theaters and was crucified by the left. He started the ball rolling towards renewal of faith and tolerance of others of faith. It made a huge impact on this years election.
it was Scott Peterson. I hope you knew that.
A freeper suggested "Bloggers" the other day. Sounds good to me, but I don't know if the MSM is ready to give such glory to their competition.
Scott Hamilton is a famous ice skater, what did he do to get convicted? Did he do a double when he should have done a triple?
Good idea, but that would make sense!
Why are you advertising for them?
The Voter.
First democratic election ever held in Afghanistan.
On track for democratic election in Iraq in January.
Largest turnout in Presidential election history in the US.
I second that. The Bloggers. They have been around for years but 2004 was the year of recognition to the bloggers for taking down the MSM.
Arafag. We need to spread the word about his sex life to all the Muslim world. A little psy-war couldn't hurt.
I remember last year's pick and it was a good one and surprised me. If the pick is supposed represent the most newsworthy topic, according to the newspeople, then it will probably be Scott Peterson. Man, am I glad that is almost over.
Sorry, it WAS Scott Peterson. I somehow typed Hamilton because that name popped into my mind as I was typing for some strange reason. I guess Scott Hamilton was an Olympic hockey player. I vaguely remember the name, was he on the 1980 gold-winning squad at Lake Placid?
