The Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children's Services is searching for a foster home for a 17-year-old white boy who is actively exploring gender and sexuality issues. He has good communication skills and loves to talk and cook.
The teen is an outgoing individual. Other qualities include being very friendly and open to many different lifestyles. He is attending a special-education program at a public high school. He loves cosmetology and loves to do hair and make-up...
This teen needs a structured home that can be open to his ongoing exploration of sexual identity and gender.

They have foster kids at age 17 in CA? Why not just legally emancipate the kid?

Yeah, and we wonder why other cultures reject ours. Like which ones, the Taliban who think "Women for sons, boys for pleasure?" Like the Saudis, who buy Iranian girls in "temporary marriages" and send them back to their villages to become prostitutes (no one will marry them) when through with them? The African Muslims who mutilate their daughters? These are the ones we always hear criticism from - they need to look to their own *forest* of logs in their eyes before condemning us.

Sadly you are correct. Too bad the "adults" running this ad are too naive to realize they are turning this kid into NAMBLA bait. Or worse, maybe they do realize it and approve of the idea.

Your ordinary Mohammedan father who doesn't want his boys to be taught homosexuality is "ok" and his girls to make sure their sex partners use condoms.
I don't think your ordinary Mohammedan appreciates living under Taliban or Saudi Royal rule.
It's tough to get others to accept western liberal democracy when it produces nothing but "tolerance" for deviant behaviors.

Next year he'll be able to vote. I wonder under which party he will register?

Next year he'll be able to vote. I wonder under which party he will register? It's a toss-up. He could go Democrat...or Log Cabin "Republican."

This is sick... it reads like a publicly funded auction for a child sex slave to me. You hit it right on the head. I can just imagine what kind of individual is going to be responding to this ad.

Drop him off at the local whore house, pick him up in a week. He'll be all straightened out by then. On the contrary, I think it will be quite some time before he's able to straighten himself out.

This teen needs a structured home that can be open to his ongoing exploration of sexual identity and gender. I can just imagine me going to my dad at 17 and telling him that he needs to be open to my ongoing exploration of sexual identity and gender.
I'd be wearing a chastity belt and locked in a convent before I managed to get the whole sentence out. And we aren't Catholic.

He loves cosmetology and loves to do hair and make-up... I think he's beyond the "exploring" stage.

They have foster kids at age 17 in CA? Why not just legally emancipate the kid? I was a foster kid in California at 17. It happens.

This is, obviously, an "Auction Ad" which pretends to be "PC"!!!

It's probably an exception to the general rule, but I know a guy who is a hair stylist, and he's very, what's the word, effeminate? If one met him for the first time they would say to themselves "as a three dollar bill". But he is a churchgoer (actually Jehovah's Witness, I'm not scared to say it), very moral, and is happily married with grown kids.
So I dunno, maybe it's the environment, spending most of every business day chatting and gossiping with women while he does their hair (he's been doing it a very long time), but from knowing him outside of the salon I can say the dude is straight as a pin.
