To the Editor:
Leon Klinghoffer, our father, was one innocent civilian among thousands who were murdered under the rule of Yasir Arafat and the P.L.O. As a family who has unfortunately been touched by Mr. Arafat's terrorism, we find that our only solace in his death is that he cannot kill anyone ever again.
It is mind-boggling that some would view him as a diplomat, martyr, hero and even a peacemaker. This is definitely not how we know him to be. To us, Mr. Arafat will always be a murderer and a terrorist; and one less terrorist on this earth is a good thing.

Yes. They're absolutely right. The Arafat worship over the last couple of days has been enough to gag a maggot.
The leftist press has shown more sorrow over Arafat's death than they did with President Reagan.
Especially given the fact the died from AIDS and slept with his bodyguards.
I'm amazed the slimes printed this letter. I hope all their readers enjoys the slap in the face.
Liberals never met a dictator they didn't love.
I cannot imagine how this family has felt watching the bizarre media treatment of Arafat. My prayers are with them.
Wow. God bless these ladies for telling the world the way it is.
BTTT
Good for them! At least the letter was printed!
Arafat was a murdering thug! Peacemaker? Not!
My wife has had to calm me down several times now since the press keeps reporting on him like he was even a human, let alone some kind of hero.
Turns my stomach.
:O)

I hope Mr. Klinghoffer stood at the parting of the way - in order to pummel Arafat with his wheelchair - before filthy old Yasser made that sharp left turn into hell.
When I recall that Mr. Klinghoffer was a man confined to a wheelchair, vacationing on a cruise with his wife, and thrown overboard to drown and die WITH NO PROVOCATION, just as an "example" to terrify the other passengers, and that this was ALL ARAFAT'S PLAN, then I wonder why Arafat wasn't brought to justice back then.
Who, at the beginning of his career, enabled him to evade justice? I recall that Rudy Giuliani investigated him for Mr. Klinghoffer's murder and the murders of 35 other AMERICAN CITIZENS. Arafat should have been covertly killed back then, imho.
Why was Arafat protected? Did the KGB manage to protect him?
"In a better world, the PLO chief would have met his end on a gallows, hanged for mass murder much as the Nazi chiefs were hanged at Nuremberg. In a better world, the French president would not have paid a visit to the bedside of such a monster. In a better world, George Bush would not have said, on hearing the first reports that Arafat had died, "God bless his soul."

Good for the Klinghoffers. They lost their father, but they lost their mother as well. She died a few years later, probably from the stress of a broken heart disguised as cancer, I think. Klinghoffer's death was one of the most brutal things the world has ever witnessed -- a crippled man thrown overboard in his wheelchair while his wife watched helplessly. Terrorist Pigs!
