I was so happy that values was listed AMONG the reasons Bush was reelected. I was thrilled that Americans were actually turning away from the leftist abortion on demand, anything goes morality, etc. Then along comes this thread. I am appalled to say the least at the big heads some got from this victory. It does not do the pro life movement any favors.

The GOP is not a human being. Like our government, it is only the combined strength of the individual human beings whose rights it is to protect. Actually it's the combined strength of the voters, a subset of the first group.

I would not vote for any President who advocated for the infringement of any of our inalienable rights. I wouldn't donate or campaign for any Party that had a pro-abortion platform anymore than I would support one that advocated slavery.

The GOP is going to deliver and spend the capital that we gave them to do it, that's what...we have made clear why we show up, our position is clear - as WAS the GOP 'leadership' - so we worked, spent, spent, worked and voted - for the GOP, again. Betrayal or effective non-delivery-delivery would be catastrophic at this point to the Conservative Movement - precisely the aim of RINOS, RATS, THE UN, THE NYTLATABBCNNBCBS, THE EU and most of the world in general. That's called a Party that don't care or don't need/want the base to me. You want a new base, GO FIND IT! GOP - GO FOR IT - "What a tangled web we weave when our aim is to deceive...". I hope this is all being handled behind the scenes to create a positive, win-win outcome for America and the Conservative's first choice, the GOP.

You do realize that abortion of one form or another has been legal throughout our nations history, don't you? I'd be ecstatic if we could get to where there were abortions only for pregnancies younger than twenty weeks and only for Life of the mother, rape and incest, though I cannot support why a child alive in a womb ought to be held capitally responsible for the heinous crime by his or her father ... among other anomolies. IF our nation could go that far to reduce abortions, technology and education would kick in to allow even a rape victim to life support the little one until he or she would be able to live outside the womb with public life support.
