This is what he said: "Every child, born and unborn, protected in law and welcomed into life."

Nowhere does it say "gut Roe."

Well either Roe is gutted, or Roe guts it. That's how Roe works. Roe is the umbrella for partial birth abortion.

If "every child, born and unborn, (were) protected in law and welcomed into life", Roe would obviously have to be an atrocity of the past.

Your claim otherwise is nonsensical.

"Every child, born and unborn, protected in law and welcomed into life."

That reads "gut Roe" to me.

"Every child, born and unborn, protected in law and welcomed into life."

There is no room in this statement to "choose" between children, between born and unborn, or to remove protection in law or fail to protect their lives.
