This thread honors the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, and reminds us of why we here at home can go about our daily business in peace. Street-to-street is the toughest type of warfare. Air cover is being flown by pilots from the USS John F. Kennedy, as well as the U.S. Air Force from bases in the area.
I don't know the ping list for the FR USO Canteen or other Armed Forces ping lists. If you do, or if you know someone who does, they may be interested in this thread.
God Bless Them!
May God bless our courageous troops!
"Call it a hunch, sarge...but I'll bet there's gay terrorists behind this door."
Thanks for posting those pics. God bless our troops!
Is that a woman in combat, in the 4th pic from top? Pls say it ain't so...
These men are the best in the world. How fortunate we are that we have them to defend us and spread freedom in a dark corner of this world.
God bless 'em!
Thank You for this post. These guys deserve a RAISE!
BTW, it may be appropriate to post an email I received today from friends who live in the Central Valley of California:
Just had the sudden impulse to tell you that two marines killed recently in Iraq were best friends graduated from the high school Emily and Jason graduated from. They were honored today at their combined funerals. It is so sad, I can't imagine what it must be like for their parents... but the young men really believed they were doing what they were suppose to do. They had volunteered to return to Iraq. Some veterans attended their funeral in support of their families and the men and women in Iraq.
The "boys" spoke last year in one of Emily's classes. Emily said that they would sneak off to see the Iraqi kids, and even one time sneaked out to have dinner with an Iraqi family. They wanted to know the people they were defending.
35,000 people went to our Veteran's Day parade today in Fresno. The local news said it is the largest in the nation!?!? I'm so impressed - when [we attended the parade] Jason years ago there were maybe several thousand.
Well, thank you for praying for this war and our President. God is supreme!!!
BWAAAA!! LOL!!!
You're welcome. I think the story of the Battle of Fallujah is at least as important as the Peterson verdict. [/sarcasm, but never /scorn for media]
God bless our troops.
Naw...
Continued, SERIOUS prayers for our brave troops.
Good stuff ~ thanks Wolfstar!
Thanks for the pics. God bless our troops!
Thank you.
