I don't know the ping list for the FR USO Canteen or other Armed Forces ping lists. If you do, or if you know someone who does, they may be interested in this thread.
May God bless our courageous troops!
BTW, it may be appropriate to post an email I received today from friends who live in the Central Valley of California:
Just had the sudden impulse to tell you that two marines killed recently in Iraq were best friends graduated from the high school Emily and Jason graduated from. They were honored today at their combined funerals. It is so sad, I can't imagine what it must be like for their parents... but the young men really believed they were doing what they were suppose to do. They had volunteered to return to Iraq. Some veterans attended their funeral in support of their families and the men and women in Iraq.
The "boys" spoke last year in one of Emily's classes. Emily said that they would sneak off to see the Iraqi kids, and even one time sneaked out to have dinner with an Iraqi family. They wanted to know the people they were defending.
35,000 people went to our Veteran's Day parade today in Fresno. The local news said it is the largest in the nation!?!? I'm so impressed - when [we attended the parade] Jason years ago there were maybe several thousand.
Well, thank you for praying for this war and our President. God is supreme!!!
Continued, SERIOUS prayers for our brave troops.
