Buck's death raises flap.Texas game wardens probe knifing of animal with gargantuan antlers at Camp Bullis, Texas. Opening weekend deer hunting in south Texas resulted with a white-tailed deer, no one in Texas has seen in nearly 80 years. "Bullis Buck" carried antlers with 35 scorable points and an outside spread of more than 27 inches and ranks as the third largest taken from a native whitetail in Texas. The problem is the means in which this buck was taken and possible prosecution of the people involved. The question is who winds up with the record-setting rack, which could have a value to collectors in excess of $20,000.

Anybody who knifed that animal has a huge pair.

How in the dickens is it illegal to knife a buck, during hunting season? Wouldn't that be a bit more challenging than shooting it? Perhaps it was done in self defense?

I guess you'd have to stand and fight that guy, if he can run down a deer with a knife you sure as hell couldn't run away from him!

John Kerry once had to wrestle a Grizzly Bear to the ground after it knocked away his double barrel shotgun.

God Almighty they knifed that monster to death....
My great grandpa has the number 28th alltime in SC history.
22 points with a 19 inch spread. I like to hunt but there is noway I'd try to take that beast down with a knife.

You see, what Kerry didn't tell us is that he used his bare hands and teeth to tackle the Grizzly.

This story is suspect. I never seen a deer in Texas bigger than a german shepherd.
