How in the dickens is it illegal to knife a buck, during hunting season? Wouldn't that be a bit more challenging than shooting it? Perhaps it was done in self defense?

God Almighty they knifed that monster to death....

My great grandpa has the number 28th alltime in SC history.

22 points with a 19 inch spread. I like to hunt but there is noway I'd try to take that beast down with a knife.

According to Range Control at Camp Bullis, the buck had a broken back. They were just "putting the animal out of its misery." I think I have received a picture of every employee at Camp Bullis holding this animal.

The article says that pictures of the buck have been circulating - but I haven't seen one - and I usually get every wildlife related photo that circulates.

Where is Camp Bullis? I just looked on the Texas map and its not listed. A really dangerous way to hunt deer, unless he was tangled up in a fence or injured.
