Welcome to TGIF at the Finest!   We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. It's been a great week with a lot of rightful attention given to vets IMO.

I want to once again thank the two of you for the very moving Veteran's Day thread and thank all who contributed to the thread.

It was almost like Father's Day yesterday around here. All the kids came over to wish dear ol dad Happy Veteran's Day and #2 daughter and sil took us to Outback for dinner last night.

Mrs d looked at me mid-day, smiled and said "Happy Veteran's Day and Thank you for your service."

My reply - "Thank You, and thank you for your service too. Navy wives served every bit as much as their husbands."

Salute to all our veterans and their spouses and children. Their sacrifices are just another one of the things that make this a GREAT country.

May God continue to Bless and protect each and every one.
