18 Americans, 5 Iraqis Die in Fallujah

NEAR FALLUJAH, Iraq - Eighteen U.S. troops and five Iraqi government soldiers have been killed in action since the start of the assault on Fallujah, the U.S. commander of the operation said Thursday.

Maj. Gen. Richard Natonski, commander of the 1st Marine Division, also said 69 American service members and 34 Iraqi troops had been wounded since the assault began Monday against insurgents in the Sunni Muslim stronghold.

Natonski said the operation was "ahead of schedule" and he saluted "the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines and our Iraq comrades" taking part in the fight.

"Today our forces are conducting deliberate clearing operations within the city, moving from house to house, building to building looking for arms caches, insurgents," he said.

Natonski also said he had visited a "slaughter house" in the northern Jolan neighborhood where hostages were held and possibly killed by militants.

He described a small room with no windows and just one door. Inside were two thin mattresses and straw mats covered in blood, he said.

There was also a computer, computer disks, and a wheelchair, "which we believe was used to move the prisoners around in. We believe they were bound and moved around the complex in the wheelchair."

He said intelligence personnel are investigating the site.

The presence of the "slaughter house" was first disclosed Wednesday by the Iraqi commander, Maj. Gen. Abdul Qader Mohammed Jassem Mohan.

I need help finding a pic from a few weeks ago.

There was a pic that showed a terrorist running and in the background there was graffiti on the wall and some FReeper translated it as somthing about Pres. Bush.

I'm wondering if this is the same wall.

I'm not one big on yelling kill, kill, kill. I know that our guys have to glean info from this thrash, but I would prefer that they go ahead and put them out of their misery. They continually incarserate them for a few months, then release them only to mow them down like dogs in the street eventually.

Oh BTW I heard one of the embeds yesterday that one captured islamic jihadist had vials and vials of adrenalin on him.

How about this Fallujah Air cover?

"A pair of AC-130 gunships fired their entire arsenal of ammunition on Fallujah during Monday night's assault - launching dozens of 105mm shells, hundreds of 25mm rounds and more than a hundred 40mm rounds."

"On Wednesday, an Apache gunship sank five boats in the Euphrates River that the military said were used to resupply guerrillas with rocket-propelled grenades and mortar shells."

"The city is also being pummeled by Army Apache and Kiowa helicopters and Marine Super Cobra gunships, as well as the unmanned Predator spy plane, armed with Hellfire missiles."

"Suddenly you see that mortar team disappear. You never heard it coming. That's got to weigh heavily on their minds," he said.

Thanks... I hadn't heard that yet (adrenalin.)

That's for nerve gas, isn't it?

FNC just reported 18 dead U.S. soldiers, 5 (?) Iraqi soldiers and "approximately" 600 terrorists.

God Bless the souls of our lost heroes.

Nice to read in your link that the Iraqis are going door to door clearing out spaces on their own.
Every little bit helps and they are gaining experience.

TexKat, Dog and everyone posting news on the troops.. thank you so much. i'm stuck in the sticks (which is ok) with nothing but abc and pbs and a pathetic excuse for an antenea. and all they show on any news (which is scarce as frog hair) is that stinking old toad face.
they're not even showing the President at Arlington.. nothing to honor Veterans.. makes me sick.

i love seeing these terrorists with bare feet.. they must have run right out of the stupid plastic sandles trying to get away from the Warriors. hehehe..

never stop praying... for our heavenly Father to continue sending His mighty angels to the side of our brave guys. i suspect we are going to hear of more miracles when these guys get a chance to call and write home. there is no doubt in my mind that God is protecting our men in Fallujah and else where in Iraq and Afghanistan.

the more i hear and read of Fallujah .. the more i understand just how important it was to clean out that rat infested nest. the evil things coming to light are ...horrific. the destruction and capture of the enemies headquarters, munitions, and who know what else will be a huge blow to them.. they are like scattered rats after the nest is kicked over.

thanks again for all the news.. please keep posting..

(adrenalin)

I wondered myself, what would they be using that for. But during the discussion on the news show they speculated that it was to keep the terrorist alert (up ant at um) so to speak. I don't know what they would use it for. I might have raw footage of it, I'll see if I can find it.

Adrenalin is an antidote for nerve gas?

I have no idea, thought they were using it as speed.
