Related Tribune article also reports of a Humvee with a loudspeaker blaring Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries," the music used in the helicopter attack scene in "Apocalypse Now."

Read my post #97 in this same thread. Wagner was a very big anti-semite. It is well known that it has entered his music and his whole belief system by the end of his life. Itis just so universally accepted that he was... I don't just make this stuff up.

Did anyone catch the surprising acolade to this soldier by none other than Dan Rather this evening? I was channel surfing and was arrested in mid-click by this awesome photo, and heard Dan's emotional (tears in his eyes) tribute to these men who do the nation so proud.
