I've read that some Marines on Iwo Jima actually used "Tallulah" to call for a corpsman, because the Japanese had a difficult time with the word.
Disclaimer: My dad was a corpsman, but he never mentioned anyone calling him Tallulah. : )
I liked that movie, with the mutant fly, and the operas. Those were good, and I know that they do a Wagner piece.
I know no one heard of these guys ..but ,from the 80s a band called T RIDE..Music that would drive Islamist totally MAD and drive a Marine to walk through walls, guns blazing ..(Seriously talented band by the way ) They should reallt do it ..Middle of the night ..at 1000,000 watts ..freak those bastards out of their minds. Then have a turkey shoot..I still stick to my original theory ..UTTERLY LEVEL the place and let it be a warning to the rest of them .
Well said!
One of the Special Forces teams in Afghanistan in early 2002 made a video from their stills that had that song as a sound track. The first section showed the team going around "doing stuff" and the locals, etc. and then there was a warning to "send the kids out of the room," and the rest of the vid was stiffs that they had to examine, get a DNA sample, and inventory at Tora Bora. (I may be conflating two videos here).
I heard that the performer of the "bodies hit the floor" song is dead -- suicide. I believe it; it's a very negative and nihilistic song. Me, I'd rather beat the snot out of them to "singing in the rain" (obscure movie reference) but I'm of an older generation. I was very bemused to find this version of the 82nd Airborne has its nose in a GameBoy most of the slack time it gets. But when slack time's over, the GameBoys vanish somewhere, and these "kids" suddenly turn into the paratroopers of WWII legend, only about 100 times more lethally armed and organised.

We want Death Metal, Speed Metal, Heavy Metal...not hair metal.
Don't Tread on Me would be a good one, too.
LOL! Just tryin' to get a rise outta ya! ;-)
I suppose they're saving the "pigs being slaughtered" tracks for later.
Nah, should be Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" or perhaps "Fade to Black."
When death in the form of the U.S. Marines is on the way, might as well be appropriate send off music.
