I personally can't comprehend what the mystery is. It seems to me nearly everyone in politics thinks that she will AT LEAST form an exploratory committee and thus raise money to do so. However in this op-ed entry in the Albany, New York - Democrat Herald newspaper the idea is "lost" on its author... What's all this talk about Hillary Clinton? If the Democratic Party nominates her for president in 2008, the United States is almost assured of yet another four years of a Republican in the White House. All this talk about Hillary has been spread mainly in the news media. It doesn't necessarily reflect what most registered Democrats think, much less what the electorate as a whole might think of the idea. Mrs. Clinton has not even completed one term in the Senate. If she has accomplished anything of note, the news has not penetrated this far west. Senators have had a generally poor record in trying to move up to become president, with this past election being only the most recent example.A lot depends on what happens in the next four years. Mrs. Clinton may not even decide to run. If so, chances are she and the country will be better off.
There is no question the country would be better off if Hillary never becomes President...but since when has ANY Clinton every cared about how the country would "be" when it came to getting in the way of what "they" wanted...
Thanks for the clarification.
Meaning all your constitutional rights, and freedoms, and most of your money, in the form of excessive taxes, to pay for her folly. Our sovereignty will end and we will be controlled by the UN.
I'll see your Hitlery clinton and raise you a Condoleeza Rice...
Rice won't be the nominee either.
(Sarcasm spelt backwards is msacras)
No way does she get Arkansas and here in Oklahoma they detest the Clintons. When that twerp Brad Carson received two checks from here for the 2002 election, he had to return them because if he cashed them he would lose the primary. He should have remembered that Oklahomans have long memories and didn't buy his "I am conservative" crap -- he was a Clintonite so he lost big!
Hillary Rodham Clinton:
Will she run in 2008?
She's always been running.
Running toward her dream:
A vision of victory.
She even named her daughter
in honor of her vision.
"Chelsea Victoria" Clinton
"Shall-see Victory..."
What "victory" is Hillary seeking?
What "victory" will calm her raging soul?
I hope we never see the fullfillment
of her dream.
Slyfox, an excellent point! Yes, Hillary has already served
2 terms as "president" in the Clinton Administration.
A third term would make HRC the most powerful President in
the history of the United States.
And she doesn't even love
this country.
How scary is that.
We need a MAN
to tame the Shrew.
Rice just won't do.
I am aware of that. I was making aa joke that McGovern (and Mondale) took only their home states. If Hillary is going to be the next McGovern, then I want to know which "home state" will she take and give us the other 49?
I get it now, some jokes don't translate into written form well. Some people put the old /sarcasm> after such a joke, to help feeble minded folks like me read them in the right lignt.
If she were to run and win only her home state, whichever that is by 2008, that would put a crimp in the "blue secessionist's" style.
