Blue States Buzz Over Secession
The Washington TImes ^ | November 9 , 2004 | Joseph Curl

Posted on 11/09/2004 6:07:51 PM PST by GaryL

Secession, which didn't work very well when it was tried once before, is suddenly red hot in the blue states. In certain precincts, anyway. One popular map circulating on the Internet shows the 19 blue states won by Sen. John Kerry -- Washington, Oregon, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Maryland and the Northeastern states -- conjoined with Canada to form the "United States of Canada." The 31 red states carried by Mr. Bush are depicted as a separate nation dubbed "Jesusland."

Take the liberal west coast. See the much larger red areas in each state. At any hint of secession those good Americans would drive the blue scum into the sea. LA, SF, Porland and Seattle will resemble Fallujah.

I say let 'em keep on blathering. They're revealing themselves as the hypocritical morons we've always known them to be. The preachers of tolerance, gentility, peace, and pacifism, those stalwarts who give no quarter to "hate," in any form, are putting on a stunning (and very public) show of intolerance, chaos, bigotry, and unadulterated hatred. All the things they claim to be against have become their admitted modus operandi. If the election were held today, a scant one week later, Bush would win by ten points instead of five.

If we look closely, most of the blue states are heavily dependent on tourism for their survival. Yes they can survive without it, but at what standard of living? Perhaps we in the Red states should help them out this summer and plan vacations for only Red States. I.E Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Florida Beaches...

I think especially Florida beaches. Those poor people have had a rough time this year and they came through for Bush. I think the Panhandle beaches would be best, I think they are more Republican and could really use our tourist dollars.

Years of Liberal Government Drives Away D.C.'s Middle Class

Based on the liberal premise that poor citizens will always be poor and affluent citizens will always be affluent, the District government is perplexed that middle-class citizens are seeking opportunity elsewhere. After hundreds of tax increases, the city's ledgers are soaked with red ink. Despite employing tens of thousands of civil servants, even basic services are abysmal........

The arrogance of the far left is amazing. They actually believe that everyone in the blue states agrees with them and would be willing to form a new, leftie/liberal country. Simply ridiculous.

A division would be acceptable so long as in those states like CA, OR, WA, NY, and PA, where the minority conservatives dominate large areas of their respective states, the "red state" nation keeps those areas. A few boundary adjustments in states like MD and VA, swapping northern Virginia for western Maryland, would be a good idea. Also, we must hold San Diego for its value as a Pacific seaport and naval base.

Dallas would be the logical capital of a "red state" nation, as we would lose DC to the "blue state" nation.

There's one fly in their ointment here. The so-called blue "states" are actually blue "metropolitan areas" that have infected red "states". While they might out number the red voters, I'd say the red voters have a numerical advantage in firearms. They might not allow session.

"The coastal areas of SF and Los Angeles will be parts that are leaving,"

That's fine. They can be crown colonies, like Singapore and HongKong used to be, bowing down in allegiance to their euro-socialist sovereigns like Queen Tay-rayza and Prince John the Kerry.

We can then actually create real boundaries to quarantine them until the disease has run its course.

Hey Blue city-slickers: you had better do it. Now. Because we are coming for you if you don't.

heh-heh-heh.

Quite frankly the blue states should be labelled 'Satanland'.

In all seriousness, about 75% of those blue states are red counties. This talk about secession is born out of hatred and spite.

I concur. I truly feel sorry for the Marylanders in particular. Virtually every single county in the state went for Bush easily with one big exception: the I-95 corridor in between and including Washington and Baltimore, which is full of left wing yuppies and ghetto. I'd be more than happy to give them Arlington County on the Virginia side as well, perhaps cutting a line across from the ghetto suburbs of DC to Chesapeake Bay and then north along the aforementioned I-95 counties. Also cut a north/south line through Pennsylvania to the west of Philadelphia stretching to the New York border and the split would be nearly perfect. Perhaps the southernmost county in Delaware - which tends to vote GOP, though it's mostly rural, could also be cut off. and attached to the red states. That'd allow the blue states to retain both their constituencies and their capitol. Use the mountains (or the fault line) as a natural border for the left coast's wacko areas, cutting it off just south of LA.

Dems tried that route in 1860 and got their a$$es handed to them.

Subject: Qualifications for Director of Public Information during the coming struggle.

1) Candidate must exhibit superior ability to communicate complex concepts in succinct and abbreviated fashion to target audience characterized by average intelligence but handicapped by public education.
Example: Describing effort requiring four years of sustained conventional combat with a 270% mortality rate while enjoying 10:1 advantage in industrial production, 7:1 greater rail capacity, 4:1 available combatant ratio, 25:1 naval tonnage ratio, and numerical superiority in every major theater of operation as an "ass handing".

2) At no time during interview must the candidate exhibit any knowledge of the existence of Department of Strategic Planning or any contact with staff of said department within the fourth degree.

Says You.

I say - we do everything we can to encourage them to secede, then whip there @sses but good.

They can leave in droves if they desire but the minute they take the first action to split away from the Union - crush 'em, once and for all.

That they would even consider this action shows their true color, which is yellow. Can't put up with a lost election, what jerks.

We tried to take Canada at the beginning of the war. They kicked our tails. :( As for Mexico and the Carribbean, why would we want them?
