Secession, which didn't work very well when it was tried once before, is suddenly red hot in the blue states. In certain precincts, anyway. One popular map circulating on the Internet shows the 19 blue states won by Sen. John Kerry -- Washington, Oregon, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Maryland and the Northeastern states -- conjoined with Canada to form the "United States of Canada." The 31 red states carried by Mr. Bush are depicted as a separate nation dubbed "Jesusland."

I've heard of this talk on DU and even Mike Savage although Savage called it "Coastal" something because even in many Blue States, there is a lot of red counties. You would have something like "Blueland" being a corridor West of the Appalachians of Washington DC going up the East Coast to Boston, maybe a bit past it into Maine. The "Left Coast" would consist of LA, Frisco, up Oregon to Washington. Of course, here in Allegheny County, we are in an isolated Island of "Blueland" so if it came down to it, I'd be moving to "Jesusland" pronto.

"Put them all on one big reservation, in their own state, perhaps Washington dribbling down into Oregon. Hillary or such could be in charge. Details would have to be worked out for those normal citizens having to move out out of said reservation, we would not want them to suffer any loss of property."
LOL - The Communist Reservation; the Sovereign Nation of Fruitopia and full of Kerryons...

Goody... After they succeed it will be legal then to INVADE getting the land back and PUSH the ENEMY into Canada which will receive them as allies.. THEN after all calms down ANNEX British Columbia and Alberta.. and offer the Yukon territory status.. And THEN form a treaty with Quebec...

Maybe thats the solution to our problem, create city states with set boundrys. They can do what they want in their citys, but they have to use their own tax dollars.

If the Blues want to fight another Civil War, we have the answer ready to hand:
"With what? SPITBALLS?"
I'd nominate Zell to be a general, what do you think? B-)

On the other hand, more and more hispanics are becoming both Republican and conservative. The blue counties can become the "Aztlan" for the leftist hispanics.

I'd say "Have at 'er!" except that, if they did, we'd just end up with yet another 3rd world country looking to us to satisfy all their needs!
It would be a fairly small country when you consider just what in the"BLUE" states is actually blue.

Boy...it sure is tempting to just let them go...I hate moving, though. Maybe we can let them secede by counties? The New capital of the U.S. could be Cheyenne, or Salt Lake City.

If they want to secede, is it OK now to question their patriotism?
