I see. Usually "L" candidates focus on big gov't in general and taxes in particular, so her liberal social issue concentration is a bit unusual.

True, but that's not saying much. Dennis Kucinich is more conservative, at least if you believe the American Conservative Union's numbers.

Indeed, and because of that perception, it's still arguable that she took more R votes then D votes. That said, she expressly said she tried to take more D votes then R votes, because she wanted to prove L's had appeal on both sides or some such nonsense.

True enough. But at least she's not as hard on the eyes as every other female democrat. Looks might be her only redeeming quality, but at least she has one.

I just looked and there are 170,260 outstanding votes.
King has 46,000 left
Pierce has 20,000 Left
Snohomish has 20,000 left
86,000 total

The rest of the counties come to 84,200

This is going to be soooooooooooo close but I have faith that Dino will win.

Not a chance in hell. Can'twell may have only won by a whisker, but she took down the last R standing in the process. She's positioned herself well, and we, quite frankly, don't have credible candidate to challenge her.

Rob McKenna may well move to higher office in the future, and, win or lose, Rossi might one day be a Senator. But that said, they just got/might have got in, and they couldn't run for something else that soon.

I just don't trust the Dem leadership in this state. It's going to be so close, and they are going to do all in their power to prevent a Rossi win. I am hoping strongly he wins, it would complete this stellar year.

Any word on how closely the GOP is standing guard over these counts?

I knew Bundy was associated the the GOP in your state,
but this is the first I've heard that he had such an
important job. Yikes. He really managed to blend in, didn't he?

Looks like they are saving the 46,000 king county votes for last.

Very closely, and the Secretary of State is Sam Reed, a Republican and a pretty good guy.

What! Can they just sit there all day not counting? What would be the point in that?

I will guess they just want to say they put Gregoire over.

NO WAY, DINO IS GOING TO WIN.

Snohomish & Pierce are trending Rossi right now. Rossi won Pierce county, and he's winning Snohomish county, but with under 50%, so basically he's winning 49.5%/48.3% or something.

As I said, Pierce just reported, and Dino is now up 2,123.

Gonna be reeeeaaaalllllyyyy close.

I live and work in downtown Seattle.

I don't think I could stand the ratcheting-up of the Bemoanerbaters crying over their latte's that a Dino win would cause.
