Basically, Dino has lead bigger then expected in his areas, and it looks like, unless Gregoire pulls HUGE numbers out of the rest of King County, bigger then the roughly 60-40 she's been getting, Dino will win.

Keep your fingers crossed and your hands folded. He just might make it.

This is going to drive the McDermott/Murray-loving crowd more insane than they already are.

Not possible.

That said, it might make them howl at the moon a little more.

This could turn out to be a banner year for the GOP in Washington... We held onto the two open GOP seats and added a solid, young, impressive Attorney General (Rob McKenna) and perhaps a solid, young, impressive governor (Dino). Those are two great offices to have to build a party... or re-build as it is...

True, but we lost control of the State Senate. I still can't figure out why we didn't make sure Jim Horn and Don Carlson wern't better funded. Letting the Realitors spend lotsa money on their behalf didn't cut it, they just matched the D 527's. There is no way they should have been outspend 2/1, and they were.

Great news!!!!!!

It's a shame that we still have to deal with McDermott and Murray.

BTW, you are right about McKenna though. He's great. Although we did get lucky IMHO. Had the Dems been smart enough to nominate Sidran, I think they would have cruised. Senn is unelectable.

Things haven't been this good for the GOP in Washington since Ted Bundy was the state GOP coordinator for the Congressional candidates. Old Ted really knew where the bodies were buried! (No kidding, folks)

I see Libertarian Ruth Bennett, who got close to 57,000 votes, will be deprived of the only source of Libertarian happiness -- playing the GOP spoiler role.

Funny - I thought of the State Senate as soon as I posted... That is a damper..

But it's nice to have a few statewide elected GOPers finally... (Reed and Sutherland plus Rossi maybe and Rob)...

At least our other senator, Maria Cantwell is a hottie (at least Clinton had googly eyes for her).

Good for Rossi!

Dem Bill Richardson is still trying to steal a win for Kerry in New Mexico by fraud! Richardson told Kerry that Kerry would win NM but Bush won it. The Dems ae engaging in fraud to try to find enough votes to give the state to Kerry. Why? This is a big black mark against Richardson. If he is able to steal enough votes then he will be viewed as a DNC team player.

Well, yah, but that's WHY she's unelectable. All but the most nuttily left recognize she did a horrible job.

Yah, true. Can't Vote Well might be a typical leftist, but she's quite the looker for a politician. If it wern't for Kathryn Harris, I'd be tempted to call her the best looking woman in Congress.

Well, in fairness, the L might not be as big of a factor as it looks. She campained as a big pro-gay rights, pro-abortion candidate, so it's actually quite possible she took more D votes then R votes.
