Anyone have an explanation of these numbers from Cuyahoga County, Ohio?
REGISTERED VOTERS - OAKWOOD VIL 2746
BALLOTS CAST OAKWOOD VIL 7099
REGISTERED VOTERS - MORELAND HILLS VIL 2990
BALLOTS CAST MORELAND HILLS VIL 4616
REGISTERED VOTERS - MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS 12713
BALLOTS CAST - MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS 14854
http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/39/39035.html
According to the U.S. census bureau the population of Cuyahoga County, Ohio is 1,363,888 for 2003. Persons under 18 account for 25%.(That's 340,972) leaving 1,022,919 residents over the age of 18 (possible voters, not nessecarily eligible voters.)
665334 ballots were cast in Cuyahoga County putting turnout at more that 2/3. Much higher than the countries average.
This stinks to high heaven.
feeling much better
Provisional ballots are not the problem and, while cumbersome, have probably managed to weed out at least some fraud in this election.
Double voting, the voting of the dead, etc. is the real problem. Why not make a standard photo ID - driver's license or state ID card for non-drivers - a requirement for registration? Right now, some states don't even require any form of photo ID.
And then develop a national database of voters for federal election purposes, using the Social Security # of the voter as the main key, but other ID as well for illegal immigrants or others who might have phony SS#s. The infrastructure for this is already in place, and all it would require is a little standardization of state election laws (and I think some constitutional way has got to be found for standardizing election law for federal elections).
The Dems live in a dream world. After the 2000 elections they cried and whined until finally the media put together a group to recount the recount. In the end they reported Bush still won. Did this end it? NO. You can show these people all the proof in the world and they will still believe what they believe.

I think they've stopped taking new registrants...and anyone else had better post ONLY pro-kerry comments! Else you're out!
Actually, I'd disagree on this. The poorer black areas are in, or closer to the central city (Cleveland). Oakwood is solidly middle-class black. But the whole Cuyahoga County is dominated by the Democratic Party, and I'd agree that the 5,000 "mystery voters" in Oakwood were Kerry votes exclusively.

lovely...don't you love MSM not thinking anything of that?! In your opinion, did W win PA?
I think they stole Wisconsin, but fortunately it didn't matter.
But I agree.......second term, voter ID, and in your own precinct only......uniform throughout the nation.

Team BUSH knew there would be all kinds of voter fraud, and worked to get the margin so great that it wouldn't make a difference.
Smart move, eh?
"Someone with a DU account should post this over there. We can start a pool to see how long it stays up. /puts the money on 15 minutes"
Ooops, you lose. Two threads on it and they've been up for almost a day. Of course they think the numbers represent Republican fraud.
But as explained at post 11 it looks like it's not fraud at all, just somebody's mistake.
Do you have a point?
I spent 5 minutes with Excel, using the data from the site linked, and came up with 97489 votes cast in excess of 100% of precinct registrations.
Nice work, soccer_linux_mozilla.

You're right... I guess by poorer, one could say poorer than Middleburg Hts and Moreland Hills (there are suburbs in Silicon Valley poorer than Moreland Hills!). Certainly the most blighted areas are East Cleveland, parts of Euclid, Woodmere, Glenville, Collinwood, and eastern portion of Cleveland proper. The Chagrin River/Rt. 91 corridor features affluent voters: Orange, Pepper Pike, Solon (75/25), Moreland Hills, Hunting Valley, etc. Things wind to more traditional as you move west into Mayfield, Lyndhurst, Shaker Heights, Bedford, with more blight in Warrensville Hts, Maple Hts, Garfield Hts. Then you have some Republican areas of Sagamore Hills, Walton Hills, Independence, Seven Hills, Brecksville, Broadview Hts, North Royalton, and Strongsville. Parma is mixed as is Brook Park, Berea, Brooklyn, Middleburg Hts, Fairview Park, and western Cleveland Suburbs. More Republican areas northwest such as Rocky River, Bay Village, Westlake, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls. And let's not forget the liberal bastions of Lakewood and Cleveland Heights.
