RALEIGH, N.C. -- Three people appeared in court Monday after being charged with vandalizing the North Carolina Republican Party headquarters. However, a friend of the three people had an emotional outburst outside the courtroom.
Police said Vanessa Maria Zuloaga, 24, David Rueben Hensley, 20, and Melissa Lynn Brown, 18, attacked the headquarters around 11 p.m. Friday, leaving behind minor smoke damage, broken windows and vulgar messages. They were later charged with malicious damage to property using an incendiary device, a felony, said Raleigh police Maj. D.R. Lane.
Hensley and Brown were given court-appointed attorneys, but Zuloaga declined. After they appeared in court Monday, 18-year-old Asa Collier, who was present during the hearing, attacked some photojournalists outside the courthouse, damaging their equipment.
The three people are part of a group that the Federal Bureau of Investigation views as domestic terrorists. In July 2004, the same group was involved in blocking traffic and vandalism in connection with the G8 summit held in the Triangle.

Your point about the media and taking sides in the Is. v Pal. issue is interesting. It may be having that impact on them and how they act.
The way the media shows are run - is clearly slanted - and I'm still wondering how the investigation is going on CBS - Wonder if we will be hearing anything soon - I have to believe if we did hear soon - it might put a stop to what the media is doing now - after the election - trying to keep the people down any way they can -
Seems to me the media is working overtime to keep control - and I wish someone would speak of an investigation into this type of reporting - Would help a lot - in my opinion -

An 18" fire-hardened bamboo stick applied smartly across the bridge of the nose of this trash would be a good place to start. It's hard to hassle other law-abiding folks when you're writhing in pain on the ground.

What is that G-8 Summit?
From what I remember, this G-8 thing is NOT 'good'.
Curious, because Travis Tritt was on it, in June.

Well I agree but I don't understand why our officials can't make the connection between this and what has happened to the other schools they talk about in other nations that put out hate towards all Jews and Christians. What is the difference between what is happening in S.A., etc. and what is going on in the schools in the U.S. -
Nothing as far as I can see - and if left unchecked - we can reap the rewards - and then maybe the other nations will have a real concern when dealing with America -

This thread won't be complete without at least one mention, here, of the completely misleading headline.
They COULD have used the less tortuous "Liberal Vandal's friend attacks reporter"
Of course, that wouldn't leave the same ambiguous impression, but it would be ACCURATE.

If the left/right spectrum is based solely on the size of government advocated, aren't anarchists rightwingers? [/sarcasm]

The liberals are teaching them this. In school is one place, in the MSM is another. If you don't like what is going on, the message is use violence to fix it. The MSM encourages this type of behaviour by taking the part of the Palistenians and other hate groups that use terrorism to achive their ends. The "palestinians," eh? Just what we need . . . these people cross-breeding with the other "anarchists" over at "Liberty Forum."
Why do institutions "need" to be challenged if only matter exists, there is no purpose to anything, and nothing is right or wrong? But it's amazing how much in love leftists and "anarchists" have fallen in love with the moslem "theocrats."
Looks like Tex-oma and "Carol on the Web" have a new talent pool.

Imitators of hip-hop/gangsta culture, with ten years experience playing violent video games, public schools which reinforce the victim/blame anyone else mentality, and parents who never taught their children to respect the rights, personal and property, of others.

Hahaha... 4 years of college + an arson arrest = $6.25/hour for the rest of her life
She might as well have skipped college altogether, saved $20k+ on student loans, and gone straight to Wendys.

Yeah, but they'll probably get a slap on the wrist, after
all it WAS just an emotional outburst. Are we in trouble or what?

RALEIGH -- An apparent supporter of three people arrested on charges of vandalizing the North Carolina Republican headquarters Friday attacked two cameramen as they followed him out of the Wake County Public Safety Center Monday afternoon.
The unidentified young man shielded his face from the cameras as he left the first appearance hearing for David Reuben Hensley, Melissa Lynn Brown and Vanessa Marie Zuloaga, where he had tried to communicate with them from his front row seat in the courtroom. He smashed the cameras to the floor and ran.
Hensley, 20, Brown, 18, and Zuloaga, 24, were arrested after they were detained by residents in the Cameron Village area after a group of about 100 demonstrators smashed windows, spray painted vulgar slogans and apparently tried to torch the GOP headquarters at 1506 Hillsborough St.
Wake County District Court Judge Robert Rader officially informed each of the defendants of the charge they are facing -- felony malicious damaging by use of an incendiary device -- and asked each if they wanted to represent themselves, want a court appointed attorney or already have an attorney.
When each of the defendants was brought forward, the man in the audience, who wore a torn but mended black T-shirt and had dark hair with the ends dyed a reddish blond, tried to signal to them, apparently trying to communicate that each should request a court appointed attorney.
Hensley looked at him and took the cue. Brown did not respond to the man's coughing and tapping but requested a court appointed attorney also. Zuloaga engaged Rader in a conversation about whether she would qualify for pro bono legal help, ignored the noise from the audience and waived her right to an attorney.
At that point the man in the audience grabbed his head.
After the incident outside the building, Rick Poplin, an investigator for the Wake County District Attorney's Office approached the two cameramen and said that Wake Sheriffs deputies obtained the man's name on his way into the courthouse and gave it to the Raleigh Police Department. Two Raleigh officers then approached the cameramen to take a report.
