"I pledge allegience to the flag of the United States of America and to the REPUBLIC" for which it stands...."

I had to remind a teacher of this when she was teaching students that we were a Democracy. Sad!

Even more sadly...there is no Pledge in the Western United States where the 9th Circuit struck it down.

Democracy, is MOB rule.

Republic, Representative form of government.

If we truly have a democracy, why do we have representative form of government??

"Consider the stability this provides: in our republic, murder will always be a crime, for it is always a crime according to the Word of God."

Sure, stability, unless the murder is committed against a preborn baby, in which case the Republic exalts it as a Constitutional right.

I HAVE HAD TO REMIND MANY TEACHERS MYSELF ABOUT THE TRUTH OF THE AMERICAN REPUBLIC. IT IS ALLWAYS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS FEARED ABOVE ALL ELSE THE TYRANNY OF THE MAJORITY. THIS IS ALSO A GREAT EXPLAINATION OF THE ELECTORIAL COLLEGE AND WHY THE CITIZENS DO NOT DIRECTLY ELECT THE PRESIDENT.

I strongly disagree. Pat Buchanan speaking of a “Judicial Dictatorship” has made the point that activist judges are destroying our republic. Roe v. Wade was based on perjured evidence provided on behalf of the plaintiff who has herself challenged Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court fabricated the alleged “right to abortion” overturning laws in 46 states outlawing abortion and in 4 states restricting abortion. I wouldn’t say that a republic exalts such actions.

I'll have to go back through my notes...but it was FDR who shortly after the Bank Holiday, ordered the Government Printing Office to remove from the Army Training Manual the definitions of a Republic and Democracy. This definition was used routinely in both the military and academia as the official description for these two types of goverment...and the distinction was obvious. Since that removal (sometime around 1932), liberals have intentionally misrepresented what type of government we are.
