Election night party report. November 2nd 2004 at Wingers Diner in Lehi, Utah.
By 8:30 MST, most of us felt things were going Bush's way. We had 28 people including children. The food was good and we talked more than we watched the news. There was also talk of organizing an official Utah Chapter of Freerepublic.

Oops, I did not get a picture of Issaquahking who must have been out getting a phone cord for the computer. I apologize!
Ping for the Utah ping list which includes some double pings for those who attended.
I also have Higher resolution pics for those that would like copies. Freepmail me your email address and I can email them to you. They are about 500k each.

Thank you so much for arranging that Freeper get together and having it on election night. That made for a really sweet daddy/daughter date and an excellent chance to meet like-minded individuals.
Thanks JR for all your hard work in setting up this forum and coordinating the dedicated people who run it.
Dang, looks like it was a blast! I'm sorry I didn't make it that night, we watched the election results at home with my family.

Whoa!, do you ever look like my youngest brother!
Congratulations for getting together and having a good time.
I was so depressed by the way things were going by the time I left work that I went straight home to Orem, put on my pajamas, and watched House and Garden TV for the rest of the evening. It literally made me sick to my stomach to think about it.
I didn't even know Bush was winning till about 10:30 p.m.
My law partner, whom I commute with, did the same thing. LOL. She went to bed at about 7:00 p.m., and told her kids to wake her up if Bush won.
My hope is that we can somehow form a FR Chapter here in Utah...in order to keep 'that feeling' alive and well.

Wish I could've made it there!
