~ MILITARY SHORT SPEAK ~ |
|
The military seems to have a language of its own, with many terms, acronyms, initialisms and abbreviations that aren't generally used in the "civilian world." What is an acronym? It is a word created from the first letter of a series of other words. It is spoken as one word. What is an initialism? It is a word created from the first letter of a series of other words, but each letter is spoken separately. What is an abbreviation? It is a shortened version of a word. What is Short Speak? It is any and all of the above. Want to know what they are talking about? Read on... |

NiMH likes to bring me live still kicking prey, and let it go at my feet in the kitchen.
Where it will proceed to spaz out and run in berzerker circles while the humans squeal and screech, and the cat goes, "Oh boy! Oh boy! Isn't this fun!"
He brought me a bunny recently.
I had to capture the long eared miscreant, bring him AND the cat to the cat's "daddy" and show off the cat's catch.
Otherwise he'd have gone into a funk and acted like we didn't appreciate his prowess at catching things for us.
NiMH cat STILL doesn't understand that I can't run through the brush and thickets with him chasing birds and such.
He doesn't get the whole difference in height/ two legs versus four paws thing.
