JOHN Kerry's liberalism had something to do with his defeat. Hence so did this: By Jan. 20, 2009, all the elected presidents for 44 consecutive years will have come from three Southern states

Well, it was pretty snotty and condescending of the Dem to say that about Born Again Christians.

That said: her attitude just proves how out of touch they are.
I am not a Christian of any sort, but I vote like one and consider them to be "Fellow travelers' politically.

I'm sure I am not the only person in the country like this.

The Dems continue to stereotype, and it is part of why they are losing.

The Dims truly can't hide who they are. Kerry couldn't, Hillary can't and neither could the democrat on that panel.

Yes, if they ran on anti-war, unilateral disarmament, pro abortion, pro minorities affirmative action, pro Political Correctness, pro environment, anti nuclear power, pro homosexual acceptance, open border, and terrorism is just a police action, then we could have seen how really far out of step they are.

What I enjoyed the most about this election was watching that fool Soros throw his money down a bottomless pit of old, retreaded ideas.

I looked into the comment George made about the Mean Center of population, this is an interesting map.

I wish this would guarantee we won't have to face a run by the PIAPS in '08. By then, her heinous hillary, will have tried to re-invent herself as a southern belle.

Y'all watch the steel magnolias come out in force when this happens. They'll rip off their white gloves and pearls and it will be a blood bath.

I'll be the teeth bared, snarling, growling, rabid one with the Houndhadeen! I can't wait for FR to take her on.

For the newbies, PIAPS = pig in a pant suit.

Ummm, Nixon pulled us out of Vietnam. The whitehouse was in Republican hands from 1969-1977. Nixon won the 68 election, Ford took over in 1974 when he resigned, and Carter didn't assume office until Jan of 1977.

Thanks, I know all I need to. I lived through those days. My memories of Hanoi John and the post-Vietnam era are more than enough.

I enjoyed that too much to put into words as well. Also Peter B. Lewis, the Progressive Insurance mogul, who like Soros, advocates the legalization of drugs. Isn't that an awful message to send to our children? Someone who made a fortune selling insurance, and advocates the legalization of drugs? Another thing Soros is against is the California 3 strikes law. Why is that such a big deal to him to keep crimals and drugs on our streets? And now the jack@$$ wants to go to a monastery?? What kind of idiots are these people?

Anyway, I hope these people keep throwing their money away on dims. And now we have records that Barrack Obama and hildebeast already took money from these idiots. Lets watch and see if they continue to do so. Hang Soros and Lewis around their necks like a thousand pound weight and make them walk around and campaign with it. Thats nothing but good news for Republicans!

NEW YORK--The American Civil Liberties Union announced today that Peter B. Lewis, chairman of The Progressive Corporation and a long-time ACLU member and donor, has made a gift of $7 million to the Trust for the Bill of Rights, ACLU's endowment fund.

American politics has known many oscillations; some scholars have discerned an almost metronomic regularity in its political cycles. Now, however, there is an astonishing stasis, immune even to the winds of war. Since 2000, the issues driving civic discourse have changed radically but the electoral map has changed negligibly. The only 2000 red state that turned blue this year — New Hampshire — made the Northeast, from Pennsylvania and New Jersey to Maine, monochrome. New Mexico, a 2000 blue state that turned red, completes a red swath from California's southeastern border to the Atlantic.

George Will refers to this red-blue split as a "stasis". What we are seeing, however, is a continuing trend of isolation of the "blue" voting block. The Dems are going to spend most of their energy defending these "blue" areas than being competitive in the "red" states.

I can see him saying, "Jesus? Good guy, great teacher."

As CS Lewis pointed out, this is illogical.

Jesus the wise teacher can't really coexist with a guy who taught "I am the way and the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me".

Either He was what he said, or he was a wacko.

Choose.

If you look at the red/blue from a county by county view it looks even worse for the blues!

...three Southern states... Where is the 2008 winner coming from?

Just off the top of my head, here are five southern candidates who would be top notch;

Jeb Bush
Haley Barbour
George Allen
Mark Sanford
Rick Perry

There are more available.

It'll be fun to see how election 2008 will go after four years of the Democrats telling everyone who will listen how anyone who disagrees with them is stupid.
