JOHN Kerry's liberalism had something to do with his defeat. Hence so did this: By Jan. 20, 2009, all the elected presidents for 44 consecutive years will have come from three Southern states

What I enjoyed the most about this election was watching that fool Soros throw his money down a bottomless pit of old, retreaded ideas.
The Democratic Party will continue to shrink.
Zell Miller tried to tell them but they wouldn't listen and they still are choosing left-wing leaders to rally lock-step, anti-GOP votes on the Hill.
All the talk about the dems needing to understand the "red state" voter is a waste because if a dem truly understands a consevative they become one.At that point the arguement breaks down.
True compassion is trying to raise someone up from the depths not feeling sorry for them being there.
"Zell Miller tried to tell them but they wouldn't listen and they still are choosing left-wing leaders to rally lock-step, anti-GOP votes on the Hill."
Saw an interesting interplay on CNN last Wednesday. A republican, a democrat, and the moderator, all women, were discussing what the democrats had to do to regain power. In response to a the republican's comment that the democrats needed to learn moral values, the democrat said: "We're not going to become 'born again Christians'." She immediately sensed how this sounded and began to stress that she too was a 'Christian', just not the 'born again' kind.
IOW, it's ok to be a Christian, just not the 'born again' kind who takes their religion seriously.
They're fish out of water.
It's a simple concept that cuts out government and that they can not abide.
I wish Zell would do one last good deed by working on those conservative democrats to change parties. I'm not sure how many there are. Remember when clinton took office? Shortly there after, I think, 3 democrats from the Senate switched. This would send a huge message. We need to find good Republicans to replace the RINO'S in our party.
Ronald Reagan is from Illinois.
Democrats will continue losing ground as long as the embrace socialism and every liberal, whacked out, thorazine-deprived fringe element on the planet.
They will also continue to lose ground as long as they refuse to acknowledge the truth. IMO, Kerry's biggest problem in the campaign was that truth tended to be malleable - it was whatever he thought at the moment.
His non-record in the Senate, his phoniness as a "hunter", his despicable lies about Vietnam and the VVAW are all powerful indicators of his fundamental lack of character and integrity. After 8 incredibly long years of Clinton and the "playboy mansion", I don't think that America is ready for a return to that era.
Bush brought the integrity and character issues back to the frontline - demonstrating first and foremost what a president is supposed to be. As long as the Dems are driven by McAuliffe and the Clintons, their losses will continue to mount.
In the information age even a marginally motivated person can search the internet for voting records, speech transcripts, blogs, and news about a candidate. Cable news adds another layer of information. Even if you are listing to an all pro-otherside news show you can gleen vast amounts of information. Take Kerry's "plans" for instance. He talked about them but never explained them. Sort of like the kid in school that claimed he had a mint Mickey Mantle baseball card but would never show it.
Why of course! We know of a professor at a seminary who - with his wife - is a big Kerry/Edwards supporter. I suspect they take their particular flavor of church (and the salary/pension) seriously, but that's about it. Nice enough people to the eye, but corrosively pro-abort, pro-gay, anti-war, anti-gun, etc.
(I can see him saying, "Jesus? Good guy, great teacher. But that was then, and the needs of today's world..."
The left has spent a lot of time co-opting the trad church, and the increase in the number of "fundies" (NOT evangelicals- that term has been overused and misused) puts them on the wrong foot. And that is making the left pretty nutty this week.

American liberalism reflects the same weakness any political elitist system manifests. The tactics and operational art of today's liberal leadership is nearly identical to their tactics in the 70s.
Kerry's attack upon Bush and the war in Iraq is essentially the same game plan liberal socialists used to overthrow the US during the Vietnam War.
They won control of the democratic party and they succeeded in removing the US from victory in Vietnam. But they never learn from their blunders, while the least politically saavy see right through their foibles.
Really? Where is the 2008 winner coming from? Inquiring minds want to know!
But at least Soros' money was spent in the US economy.
The Dims truly can't hide who they are. Kerry couldn't, Hillary can't and neither could the democrat on that panel.
The media tries to help them by attempting to persuade us that what we are seeing isn't really what it is. May we continue to be as astute in our judgements about people's character.

Ronald Reagan was born in Illinois, but was Governor of California and derived his politcal base from there. He ran for President as "Ronald Reagan from California."
