It's time to put an end to MSM
6 Nov., 2004 | daddydoo

Is it not time to rid our country of the MSM? Of course I believe in freedom of the press. But, I don't believe in the freedom to propagandize, especially when it uses the sacred freedom of the press to destroy our country, change our elections, and push some liberal news anchors' personal agenda. Remember that the German propaganda machine had most Germans convinced that Hitler was protecting their country, that all was well. It's OK to exterminate a few million Jews. What we just experienced here in the US was treasonous. Sure, Rathergate was exposed and 60 Minutes ratings have gone down, but that's not enough. The media has the purpose to "REPORT" the news, not invent the news. And Michael Moore making millions off his "documentary" is appaling. There are lots of folks out there that believed his trash. We can rid our airwaves of these liars with our pocketbooks. Yes, a boycott, just like the one on France, and the Dixie Chicks. The American consumer has tremendous power when mobilized. I know there are some of you out there who feel the same way. How about a black list against sponsers? They would feel the pain. And they would respond quickly. How about it?

They're not Mainstream! WE'RE the mainstream. Old Media, or Legacy Media, or Media Wing of the Democratic Party. Please.

They'll be going away on their own. I've already seen references in official AP stories referencing the "Old Media". They're not the "MSM" anymore. See Tagline.

You're right.

I wrote this over and over again the other day.

*******

What a bullet we dodged Tuesday, what a tragedy if Kerry had cheated his way to a few more votes somehow in Ohio.

*******

YES! And we all must STILL REMEMBER that the evil old media who almost forced this FRAUD of a man on America is still out there spinning their BULL. They haven't gone away, and they ALMOST won.

If it weren't for some of the more blatantly repulsive and offensive advocates for Kerry, the old media may have pulled it off!

Don't ever quit trying to rid America of the old media. The old media is America's most ruthless and destructive institution.

Old media MUST be destroyed.

These liberals want to return to the days of "wandering in the wilderness" because they don't want to obey God. They want to do their own thing in complete opposition to God's Commandments. The liberal Jews have a "return to Egypt" mentality where God was not so visible and influential,in their thinking, until Moshe returned.

What MSM?

Isn't that some distant concept the Internet and pay TV pretty much dealt with already?

No, it's not time to get rid of it.

It's time to capture control of it.

That has been the failing of conservatives for 40 years. We have let liberals gain full control of all the major media.

The major media will continue to play an important roll in the culture of our country. Like it or not. To think otherwise is silly.

BTW, boycotts really don't work in the long run with T.V.

The way to put the final nails in the coffin of the MSM is though intelligent persuasion.

There are some people (flat earthers) who will never be convinced of anything but Bush is Hitler and we are entering into a theocracy.

Let them live in their own reality as long as they don't hurt themselves or someone else.

That is what I mean. We must capture the media, and soon. Else they will continue to spew their liberal agendas on a clear thinking public. And this can be done through an all out effort to hit their pocketbooks. Consumers, investors, TV watchers, all united to turn America back to the decency we and our children deserve. Where humor is clean, nonsexual, no cursing. People, we can shut them down if we only organize.

Some one had a good idea on this subject a few days ago. Something about taking out a boycott on one product at a time.(not Spam or Beer) Showing that, for example, a drop in 51.86% in consumption of a single product would get the attention of the company that sells this product and that companies share holders.

I though it made sense

Daddydoo,

You are correct pointing out that we should another moniker instead of MSM. They are not mainstream thus the acronym is incorrect.

A wise sage said that whoever controls the vocabulary controls the outcome.

Suggested substitutions: OM = Old Media; SLME = Slow Media Elite; NOPJs = No Pajamas; ABRs = Association of Biased Reporters (Dan Rather, Emperor).

I'm certain the Freeper community can easily top my off the cuff suggestions. Let's hear them!

Ann, some of us would like to know who (whom?) to boycott (sp?).
I'm pretty sure my choice will be mime.
But I want to hear other voices, so I don't waste my boycott (sp?).
FR!!!

like a child, you spank him when he goes too far.

RICO would do nicely in the case CBS and who knows how many others. So, who's going to step up to the plate?

Boycotts of huge conglomerates that some of these nets belong to don't work. Unless you don't plan to buy, watch, go, or do anything. Same goes for their advertisers.

But, not to worry, the money will follow the viewers and listeners. Heck, if JimRob opened this place to commercial ads (and I'm not suggesting he do so), he'd owe us money ever quarter during the Freepathon! So - go to where you can get the good stuff.

And another thing - outside of exposing their lies - I'm not sure why we spend so much time and energy focusing on ABCNBCCBSMSNBCCNNPBS anyway.

What is the problem with this post? We need more vanities, not less. How to reform the main stream media is a great point for discussion on this board. We have bright, creative people here. Who came up with the stupid term called "vanities"?

Do you want journalists setting our agendas all the time?

Why don't you want our people to come up with some ideas? Don't you think we have enough sense to keep the topics relevant? Why do some of you treat some of us like Democrats treat Republicans?

A cogent post, yet nothing about . .
Mime.
The art that dared not speak its name.
Stay well.
