Which Dem Senators should we target for defeat in 2006? (Vanity)

Ok, we've got two years. We know we need to pick up at least 6 seats. Assuming that we won't have a 100% success rate, we should probably choose at least 8-10 Democrat (or independent) seats to work on.

We have seen that we can make a difference in the outcome of elections. Let's put ourselves to work and help get W a fillabuster proof Senate.

Don't believe what you read in the papers. . Between the budget debacle(40 BILLION DOLLAR DEBT) and his backing of embryonic stem cell research which will cost those of us who pay the freight out here 6 BILLION DOLLARS that we don't have for "medical research" that has no redeeming value, his "popularity" is falling quicker than the Titanic! Lastly, sources tell me he has movie deals for 2007. RINOld is history!

Mark Dayton of Minnesota should be the No. 1 target. His craven cowardice in anticipation of the November 2 election date should not go unpunished.

I think we can also take out Mark Dayton and Herb Kohl.

Tommy doesn't like Washington. While he is popular, he would do more good as Governor. There is a rumor he would run for Governor, but that's all it is...a rumor. He has the apparatus still in place, but it is personal rather than party strength.

We have Scott Walker, present County Executive in Milwaukee County, who might be able to challenge Herb. Kohl is barely in the state any longer and spends his time in Jackson Hole, WY. Kohl is also getting old, while Scott is young, good-looking and dynamic.

Our problem in WI, IMO, is the University areas. If you look at the blue vs red breakdowns in WI, the problem areas are a blotch in the south and west that center on union and university towns, with pseudopods running out into the rural areas. Lots of voter fraud from the universities. However, they may not risk that in 2006 if Congress and the state legislature get some laws in place to counter it. We did have to register this time, for the next election cycle, and even though we have lived in our area for 31 years and the election workers know us, we had to show official photo ID.

If W comes through in the next two years on the issues that matter here, we might have a shot. I live in one of the SW counties. I know we had fraud from several universities around us. But we have a lot of professors, aging leftie activists and retired union types here and that is a major problem. OTOH, we sent 2 conservatives to the state legislature. If they can build a real constituency over the next 2 years, that will help. I believe that they can, but we'll have to see.

The best move for the GOP in 2006 is to run the one man one woman marriage amendment in states with democrat senators up for reelection.

I am very sure that this was planned out in advance of this recent election.

This past week, the following states had the amendment:

Alaska
Georgia
Kentucky
Michigan
Mississippi
Montana
North Dakota
Ohio
Oklahoma
Oregon
Utah

I am sure that there are other states in 2006 where this amendment can be run in 2006.

We did not win the presidential election in each state, but the president came closer to Kerry than he did to Gore in every one of them that he lost.

We have "motor voter" now, couldn't we at least pass a law that you have to show your drivers license, or state photo I.D.?

I'm leery of this, as well as the national voter cards. There were a couple of people arrested in Cleveland over the past few years for supplying fake drivers licenses and ID's to people. Any of these things can be faked. We run the risk of thinking like Liberals when we thing that just because we have a law on the books that the problem is solved. And we wind up in worse shape than we were in because of our false sense of security. Crooks will be Crooks and will ALWAYS find a way around ANY law you write.
